The Tower strikes!

Well. A little info here. Don't go to Dark Tower with only 6 party members then split up into 3 teams. While in town yesterday, the halfling lost 3 levels. He was ordered by the party leader to show the woman of ill repute a good time. He tried, but the woman was a succubus. A poison dagger stab to the stomach and a runing jump from the window saved the rest of the halfling's life. Later, the leader, a ranger, and the mage returned to the inn with hopes of meeting the local trader. This is the same inn where the halfling was attacked only hours ago. Was this a good idea? No. Whilst at the inn, the mage ordered reserve stock of wine for the two to share instead of takeing pulls from the public ale barrel. Good idea? No. It was drugged. The vialant leader and our only mage were taken underground, which, useing a dectect evil spell, we know to be an extremely chaotic evil place with the very good possibility of the god Set hanging around. (remember, the Tower turns out to be the Temple of Set).
That leaves us with the cleric, who is now in charge, the druid, the now low level halfling, and a fighter who's affections dwell on the mage. The cleric did a divination. After much praying, the message of her god was, in a nutshell, we're screwed.

Monday night

I have another nero-test tomorrow morning in alexandria. I don't know what this one is, but from what i have heard, i don't want to know. Lots of needles and something about electricity.
I'm looking foward to the bugout. It should be great looking for all those bits and peices that i can't afford for my car. At least i don't have to walk around with a hood on my back.
The weather is getting better which means i should be getting more work on the cars done. The rain makes electrical work difficult. Oh, i did find a cheap muffler kit that will let me pass inspection. Now if i can just find the short for the back up lights.

Things are a bit rough around these parts

Krissy is in turmoil requarding long distance relationships crossing political lines. Katharine is bumming with a fever. Greg is looking for a way to become a networker. KM and Ant are trying to work out a complicated relationship also across the atlantic lines. Justin and Amanda are working around the loss of phones. Personaly, i have a long road to recovery.

Better dead than smeg!

Ok. New pain med today. Blood test yesterday. MRI next thursday. Court hearing thursday. Repair lawnmower tomorrow (possibly, depends on effectiveness of aforementioned med).
We started Dark Tower tonight. Made it to the mountian pass where the Tower is located. A small figtht with a dozen harpies on a scout. Then the Thing came at night. We were camped on the mountianside when It came. It looks like a 13 foot long horse with wings and a lion's head. I've forgotten it's name, but it is some kind of god demi-god.
Backup a sec. Why were we there? There was a town to the south in the local empire. There was a Duke there who asked a ranger in town for help. The Duke has sent 2 caravans through an old mountian pass to start a new trade route (or rather, revive an old one). Neither of them made it though. Word was a band of bandits were attacking at the pass. The Duke asked the ranger to gather a group to dispell the bandits and clear the pass. Easy enough. We get there and things look a little worse than that. There is a tall black tower there overlooking a small village. There is also a larfe igloo like building made of white stone about 40' tall just down the path. We scouted out the area to see if we could size up the town, find out some information on what's happening down there. During the first night on the mountianside, we were visited by the Thing. It told us what was happening. There was a war here, betwixt the gods Mitres and Set. The war has been going on hundreds of years. There is a standstill at least for hundreds of years. A balence betwixt good and evil. Our presence can upset the balence, either way. We must decide how we help. We may have no effect, or we may cause the collapse of either good or evil. Right now, we don't have enough info. Next week, we will try to get to the white temple (the igloo) and talk to the preist that resides there. There is a lot more going on here than just restoreing a trade route. There is a problem. Our party is not made of entirely good people. Two of our party are netrual. These two, as it turns out, are my charecters. We have to be very careful here. It will be easy to stumble and tip the balance in the wrong direction.
