That's a lotta squash

I've cooked more squash this week then i think i have in my life. A couple of my roommates have asked for the no/low carbohydrate diet meals, and i've adjusted accordingly. That means a hell-of-a-lot of veggies. Tonight's veggies were kale and spinach, sprouts (one of my favorite little veggies) portabella caps saluteed with water chestnuts, and of course, baked butternut squash halves with cinnimon, sugar and butter.

After spending a week working and resting, i am about ready to tackle the task of site-prep for logfest. What a job. Thatsa lotta work, don'tcha know.

After that settles down, i need to build some built-in shelves for the laundry room and kitchen for all the stuff that's kept in there. I've to change out the laundry tub with a smaller one, relace some of the connections, repipe the dryer exaust, and put new double doors up for the room. So much to do, so little energy. Plod plod. I'll get through it. It should look a lot nicer when i am done. Replaceing some crappy wall hung bracket shelves and makeing a place for the recycling bins.

I just want to thank www.grainger.com, without whom i wouldn't be able to get commerical grade material.

The end.

buzz buzz buzz

It is always odd when your reactions to a medication are completely opposed to the usual benefit. I've been takeing a sleeping aid to help me sleep more than a few hours a week, often at inopertune times. But this thing has kept me up all night twice in a row. It wears off in about 10 hours. What i may try is takeing it in the morning, keep me wired during the day when i am supposed to be doing things like working, and see if that works. I would love a good nights sleep.

My mother and i spent part of the day picking out wallpaper for her kitchen. Loking over this place, i have found a couple of places when i need to add some build in shelves. Time to charge the drill, eh? Now where did i put that jigsaw?

There is a cat on me

I was supposed to be at work today, but i felt absolutely terrible so i didn't go, and i didn't go to the game tonight for the first time in a long time. It is a policy of mine that if i can't make it to work, i shouldn't make it to a movie instead, unless i am staying out to take a day off which i don't do.

So today i tried to sleep on the floor, in the hall, in the kitchen, anywhere to get my back strait. I found as soon as i laid down, a cat climbed atop of me to sleep. It's no good. I can't deftly avoid cats sleeping on me when i am asleep myself. Anyone who has seen me sleep can atest to the soundness of my sleep. When i sleep, i mean it.

I've been listening to 80's german pop music too. Odd effect on your dreams.
