after checking one largish fan over a heat sinkfound it was a little fan, I think on a removable board, we removed it and gave it a good cleaning for dust. But we daren't try to remove it as the pegs seemed permanent ? but it is now intermittent on noise.

My main pc is just showing it's age, at 17 it's struggling if I have more than one program open at a time now. Laptops getting a hammering as result.

flaming gremlins are STILL at itat PC turn on,intermittent not showing start up details on monitor, but start stop PC a few times and it comes up, as if something is warming up ?? or not (could that be the graphics card at fault) going to take board out again that has the noisy fan and see if we can remove it safely to give wd40 spray on it's diddy motor

sorted! fan running silent,graphic card seems ok and bit of twiddlingand now carries on until next adventure

The housing association have been taken over since last lot hassles. This new bunch seem to be more on the ball. There's just one person dealing and co-ordinating for a start which makes life simpler and makes dealing with red tape quicker too.

Lets see how things go over the next week or so.

Well the lad next door is suffering the same too so it makes sense to deal with both properties at same time. He'll more than likely be temporarily re-housed as well though he'll probably move back when the work is done.

Nah, that was the one that set fire to the place, he's long gone, this is a new guy, been in about 12mths now.
I'm gonna have another bash at getting some kip. The loopy cat has been going bonkers last few nights, hearing the rats. He's caught 2, young'ish ones. Left them on the rug alongside the bed for me.
I can't let him catch anymore now though as rat poison is down. He's barred from kitchen and bathroom.
