true paul, what makes ours cold is the damp climate we have also that's why even "summers" are a damp heat and cause sweat

dry climates like Spain etc, your perspiration evaporates fast

I personally find snow most tolerable in the -30F/-35C to 22F/-5.5C range.

Colder than that I'm terrified.

Warmer, hovering around the triple point, I'm hellishly miserable.

We rarely get colder than 0 degrees Fahrenheit here. We rarely get higher than 100. And, we gets about 42 inches of rain in an average year. Last year was well above average.

I seem to exist in a temperate zone at present. Not much sun, but some. Not too much rain, but some. Air quality is great here these days.

Air quality? If you live that close to smoggy Los Angelkes and you have good air, consider yourself lucky.

I should say though that I didn't wear any clothing that had a shade of green. Fortunately there wasn't any pinching forced upon my person as penalty.

Akl okay here, reading is going along smoorhly. I finished "Dune" and will read it over once more,and then move on to the next novel in the series.

Hot lemonade strong enough it makes your ears ring like a gong when it hit your palate, with a tablespoon of chamomile per cup, served syrupy sweet so it will coat the throat as one sips.

Snow is indeed rare here, hail is much more common, when precipitation is present. Which is uncommon.
