Jerry was so quiet, that if you were inside his head, you could here a pin drop! which was surprising, as Jerry once had a noisy head,a creative head, the type of head which if it had a volume control, you would have your finger constanly over the mute button. He had a head full of thoughts, a life time full of thoughts. so when he ran out of them, early,it was quite a shock!
Jerry just stopped one evening.around 6 o'clock or just after the news came on. Jerry just stood there, waiting, expecting the next thought to come along, only it did'ent and somewhere inside his head alarm bells were ringing, only the thought that makes the decision to say "alarm bells are ringing inside your head" and tells you that "alarm bell are ringing inside your head" just said "sod it" I'm not going to be the only thought working. As you can tell this was a militant thought and not represenative of most thought that Jerry had, but as this was the last thought, ever, it was quite ironic as Jerry never done the "militant type of thought" till then! All this happened almost a year ago.
So today as most days Jerry sat in his chair,quietly watching space, his hair was recenly washed and combed, it was Tuesday, not that Jerry would know it, a late autumn sun, filtered through the window, hitting Jerrys face. Instinct turned his face, a gentle smile, then gone, forever gone, on this Tuesday, a warm sunny Tuesday with possible light showers, Jerry shone.
