Hot. Dozing off. Burgers for tea, then a flick, then the late bus home.
S and I went to see an American singer last night. Rachel Ries, Americana. I quite enjoyed the show. It was a change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hCsw6b2eP4
Last week of the Spring break. I am going to see the Dunedin Consort on Friday http://www.dunedin-consort.org.uk/diary/handel-amp-purcell-royal-music-aberdeen/

Child 44/intrusion upon personal space
Posted Apr 17, 2015
I went to see it earlier this evening. Not brilliant, not awful. Two hours plus but it didn't drag. The actual tracking down of the killer was a bit rabbit out of the hat and the film was pretty demme gory, but, och, I'd watch it again, cyod ryussian accents nyetwythstyanding, but...
I was in a big mostly empty cinema and I sat in the middle of the middle, not paying any attention to my seat number - it was a big empty cinema. Anyhow, this young woman came and sat right next to me, then checked her ticket, then moved from the seat immediately on my left to the seat immediately on my right, and I was terrified, because I was on my own - completely unchaperoned - and I felt completely vulnerable and at risk. I was seriously thinking about leaving the screening. Hmmm... it was an interesting insight if nothing else.

I had meant to say yesterday that I had seen the vandalism of the Labour MSP's office door from the bus coming back after seeing da mammy in hospital - http://news.stv.tv/north/316854-police-probe-after-conservative-and-labour-offices-vandalised-in-aberdeen/
And it wasn't so long ago that we had this http://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/scottish-politics/snp-councillors-under-fire-for-burning-copy-of-smith-commission-report.1417556805
I said to Caius just over a month ago that the current vibe in Scotland was awfy Weimar 1932 and he agreed.
Och, I acknowledge that the similarities are superficial but it's still gey demme creepy. The people who spray-painted those offices will most assuredly have a list of people to be held to account come the glorious day...

Hospital
Posted Apr 11, 2015
Me Mammy is in the hospital with kidney problems and the possibility of dialysis.
I have lost an old but still-in-use pair of varifocals, just days after having an eye test the upshot of which was that I probably need new glasses. I have two separate pairs of distance and reading glasses but the varifocals best deal with middle-distance vision, so that'll be £300...
When I was a student - not too long ago - I got new glasses paid for through application to the hardship fund.
I am in Kemnay. There were four neddy yoot on the bus oot, only not so yoot. I'd reckon in their 30s and I'd also reckon all 8am queuers-up outside the chemists. Still, they had a good chinwag, tho' one of them had a high nasal monotone that really nip nip nipped at me, like the bit in Hitchcock's Blackmail when Anny Ondra had a mentaller over 'knife' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvlyQaJbJgs

PS From Susan:
I'm shifting my granite heap - from in front for the wall that has to come down to what was the compost heaps. 9m of wall is dangerous.

Miah was a pest last night.
One mousie had to get dispatched.
It's a bonny day. I am reading a Stuart MacBride penny dreadful.
I have a lot to do over the coming weeks but if I make and can stick to a plan I will be able to get it done. Expressed thus, it sounds so simple.
Watched an Inside No. 9 last night and now I want to watch them all.
What d'we have this week? A Glob Titus on Thursday? Maybe.
Susan's hair is growing back.
