And yet!
*wonders what else a wine cellar is good for, other than storing wine or food-stuffs*

A dent opened the door from the garden and entered the Kitchen drop's is tool box, suit case on the floor at the side of the door.
He walks across the room and puts on the radio, then back, opens the washing mashing, leans over and picks up the cases and empties it in to the machine, throws in a few soap tablets closes the door and switches it on. shusssss.
Pattie pops her head around the house side door and sez, "I'm going to run a bubble bath and have soaker of a hour OK!", " O my cases are in the car, be an angel and put them in after yours honny". , and pops back.. Do I go and join her or do the house work, decisions, decisions, decisions.
Looks at the table and see's the notes
O, run out of booze in the cellar then, well that's normal for Christmas. I'll make a shopping list later, anyone want to add to the list?.
(what else is a wine cellar good for)
Well I keep the 4 servers down there, on the north wall. and the south wall's got the wine racks, and in the middle is the snooker table and not forgetting the bar on the east wall. and the small juke box just behind the door on the west wall, O and not forgetting the odd few cardboard boxes with things from my past under the old sofa, (mostly because I have no more room in the loft.) and a roll of very nosey roofing felt, looking very smug and salt important.
(Don't need to lock hubby in it, getting me out the problem), well if you ask pattie that is.
A dent opened the house side door and leaves!Hummm decisions, decisions, decisions.

Hi, Angel, hi, Dent: I've been super busy with the presidential election primaries kicking off on this side of the pond. Tonight the president speaks (blah blah blah), but I won't stick around for that; that's what the night editor is for!
So I'm finally caught up for now, enough to contribute a few bottles of my new faves to Dent's cellar:
Wolfberger Cremant d'Alsace; a clean, crisp Alsatian sparkling wine.
Smoking Loon Viognier: From California, flowery, fragrant, dry. Ahhh.

*brings in a couple of bottles of Mean and Port for those cold cold winter nights*
I'll also provide a few bottles of red when I can remember what they are called (not so much a memory as a forgettory)
Dent, you'd best get those clothes out of the washer before they mildew!
BigRed, tell us, what are your lot saying about that stupid little girl who joked about carrying bombs airport security?

I don't know about her! Where? And what happened? The latest I had heard is the man who made it through U.S. security with bullets in his luggage. That didn't make me feel so great.
My only consolation is that when they notice you will be flying into Washington you are practically strip-searched.

----------Careful what you wish for---------------------
A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him. As he sits, the waitress comes over and asks for their orders.
The man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?"
"I'll have the same," says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress returns with the order. "That will be $6.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment.
The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and the ostrich says, "I'll have the same."
Once again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.
This becomes a routine until late one evening, the two enter again.
"The usual?" asks the waitress. "No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and salad," says the man, "same for me," says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress comes with the order and says, "That will be $12.62." Once again the man pulls exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.
The waitress can't hold back her curiosity any longer.
"Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change out of your pocket every time?"
"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and I found an old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes.
My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there."
"That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would wish for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!"
"That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man.
The waitress asks, "One other thing, sir, what's with the ostrich?"
The man sighs, pauses, and answers,
"My second wish was for a tall chick with long legs who agrees with everything I say."
for the bubbly. any good beer, cider or plonk about.
Back later
