If you decide to redo your page in GuideML and need any help figuring something out, I'm more than happy to help
I also just dropped by to say that your goth/townie tules are very true..
And...
If you feel like having a random opinional debate, try A802333
I tend to find that people on here aren't really all that hung up on age.. I'm 15, joined when I was 14 and I've settled in just fine

I hate it when that happens... Sometimes it's best to draft in in word or notepad before you put it up
If you're using the default skin, just press the little buttons under the textbox for smilies or check out <./>smiley</.> for the full listing
GuideML is actually really easy to sort out... Once you change the format, all you really need to to is put and around your paragraphs,
like this
And that's it! You can add in other stuff later

So, I guess you're just a true non-conformist<?>
I know what you mean..
As far as stereotypes go with me.. Well... That's tricky. I get told I'm a punk, but err... I'm to glittery for that.. I guess I'm a New Romantic..Blast from the past and a half I tried to explain a little on my u-space In the picture in my journal I guess I look..err... punkish gothish.

Does anyone know what they are, really<?> Does the protection of a word for a group really mean that much<?> There isn't really a group that fits what I am I don't think it matters
2 Birds with one Stone..
NothingToDoWithAnything Posted Aug 10, 2003
hmm it doesnt matter that much actully but waht i have noticed which,
you have your friends which in general are your 'type' (with the exception of ours coz' we have everything in our group - sound the same with you and yuor circle of friends) but your friends influence you.. how does that figure?

Friends... what a luxury..
Where I come from most people are townies (chaffs as we call them) and what with me being generally erm... amazing.. most people wouldn't want to me seen dead with me. And frankly, if that's the way that they feel, I don't really want to be seen with them. I do notice my influence on the few people who are friends (now one and counting....) and nobody really stays very 'normal' around me for long
I think in general (through observation mainly ) people like to have a form of group identity, something that makes their friendship group sort of different from the other friendship groups... Things like clothes and music can often be a simple way of meeting someone who you are likely to like. I think as a rule, most people prefer familiar, non-threatening things to anything unusual and different.
Your friends influence you, I guess, because you care about them and you share interests with them... they have an idea and you agree, you have an idea and they agree... There's always someting in common, and if one of your friends brings something new into the group, you're likely to want to find out about it
Do you know what I mean<?>

yeah i do... so your saying that as you get something new introduced to you you loose something else? coz thats kinda like me social life and my modem...
2 Birds with one Stone..
Existential Elevator Posted Aug 10, 2003
You always remember that something else, but yeah, I guess the something new in a way replaces that...
I know the feeling with the modem

lol, serioulsy its frightening.
What makes me laugh is that people always want to be in the
'In crowd' when in my opinion id prefer to be classed as the rejects than be one of them, wha you thin?
2 Birds with one Stone..
Existential Elevator Posted Aug 11, 2003
The 'in crowd' always seems to be so superficial... I mean, why would I want to hang round with a load of people who don't care about me, but about their appearance<?> I'm a lot happier being a 'reject' myself

I'm from England
I wonder how many other countries have the same kind of youth cults as we do... *ponders*

NothingToDoWithAnything Posted Aug 13, 2003
*rubs chin*...hmm...i think it comes down to the area and the social aceptence of certain things, such as, in our culture/socity smoking and women walking in the street are perfectly normal for us, where as in other areas they may find it offending.
I think the same goes for the youth culture around the world, what i do know is that when us english watch a US 'teen flick' it shows the groups that are differednt and do not talk to each other or cant look each other in the face, and we think this is just a streotype as the americans do with our acents but, in fact it isnt they do have a social structure that is very delicate whereas ours has a few exceptions.
but saying that the 'intensity' of the effects of the major 'groups' range from area to area...my heads hurtin bad, im getting some morphene..thats my thinking for today.
