I'm with Gosho on this. Not that I'd take a razor to my head, being a girlie Not unless you paid me an awful lot
But it's true that bald heads are very sexy

Well, I trimmed it down to a number 2 all over last month, which I thought would improve matters, but somehow it had the effect of emphasising how much thinner the top bit was.

Yeah.
My surname is Bateson. I thought that after having the p*ss taken out of me for a while, I ought to start pre-empting it.
If you're impatient, I can explain that Recumbentman is named after recumbent bicycles, of which he is a great proponent (see A901036). And MotDoc is an acronym. It's Master Of The something-or-other.

Yeah. That's probably why I can't remember it.
I assume Number Six's name is based on that Patrick MacGoohan classic, The Prisoner.

Very clever Master B - or alternatively, you could just have been reading earlier postings on this thread
Thank you for dropping by and satisfying my curiosity

a) I never read the backlog

I just haven't the time.

I have just stumbled upon this purely by chance, so you can imagine my surprise at seeing my name on your list!
It's very boring, really. broelan was my payroll ID when I drove delivery for Domino's, a mix of my first and last names which is no longer wholly accurate. When I first logged onto the internet it was the only thing I could get AOhelL to accept as a screen name (as everything else I chose was already taken). I liked it for it's uniqueness and have used it for about 8 or 9 years now.
And I know what you mean about identifying with your username offline. While I wouldn't consider changing my RL name (it's unique enough on it's own), I have always felt like 'broelan', it's part of me.
I also have to say that whenever I see Hypatia online I think of flowers, I guess because in my mind I pronounce it similar to 'hydrangea'

Hello Broelan I didn't get to your PS in time! Thank you for the explanation
Master B tells me that this isn't a unique thread and I'm gutted

Well, it's not the only one, true, but it seems that different users find different ones so you always learn something (and meet someone) new I think at one point or another I've explained all of my user names, but never in the same places

Hypatia Posted May 24, 2004
The real Hypatia was a remarkable woman. That's why she was chosen as the namesake of my server at the library. I don't speak Greek and am not absolutely certain how it is pronounced. I think it is like 'Hy.pot.ee.ah' with the accent on the second syllable.
Just like a Hillbilly. Pick a name you can't pronounce.
