LEFT HANDED PEOPLE
Am I unusual? I consider myself right-handed. I have a brother& son who are left handed. I write with my right hand. I seem to use my knife & fork in an opposite manner to other right handed people. I can use scissors and many other tools with both hands equally well. This includes power tools. Most people seem to think it is weird, but I find I can do many things that single-handed people can't do. I suppose that there is no real advantage when writing most European languages with my left-hand, so it is quite possible that I might have developed that ability. I cannot however eat my food in the normal right-handed way. Another phenomena which has always puzzled me was related to my father's death. In hospital before he died, he used to write notes, in case he needed to remember things. He had a stroke before he died, and was unable to speak. He indicated to me that he wanted me to do something for him, and clearly after I did it he said "THANK YOU" On his last written notes, the final line was totally unreadable, which was strange as his writing was copperplate. About 6 months later I was again looking at it, and decided to hold the writing up to the mirror. In clear copper plate writing appeared the words "Not well today."
