funny thing is, when you get the clearout of the old, and the main stuff is done, it tends to grow on you, and watching the place come to life, and all the old paint and wallpaper gone, and you get to choose what you want,

i can remember the old house with no lecy in my school days a few miles from here.

wallpaper black and dirty, no carpets , stone floor, no heating, just the fire in the grate, going to bed on stairs that had bare boards. i cringe to remember, the many splinters i had if i didnt put shoes on jim
