Where I'm at.....
Hi, I was a young radical, but now well into middle age, I have become somewhat reactionary. The same thing happened to Wordsworth of course. Attending a job interview yesterday, the group of applicants was required to debate the return of National Service for 16-26 year olds. I'm afraid I took the supportive stance. Well, someone had to for it to be a debate at all.
On relating this to my partner, she summed me up as being very right wing. I countered that I was merely displaying my debating skills, the subject was academic, and could just as well have been the return of ducking testing for witches. But on thinking about it, she was right. My opponents were all saying the same things I said when I was their age.
