How did he know we were talking about him? I bet he's on here all the time, checking up on who's talking about him.

I'm sure you'll all be delighted to know...
I turned up for work today, although I have no contract that says I should do so.
So I didn't do any.

No Carrots,no contract - no crisps - in alphabetical order ?
Do you think you'll get the contract any time soon ?

Well, my managers keep promising me one... but until I see it in writing, I'm not actually doing much (any) work.
To be honest, I'd like them to drag it out for another 3 months.

Ok, as long as you get paid, that should be ok if you want it so. Do you have some more interviews then ?

I'm sure I will have by then...the thing with the 3 months is that after they've employed me for 12 months, I have rights about unfair contract terms and dismissal, which I don't have at the moment...so it's kinda in my interests not to push them about it, if I think I can drag it out for another 3 months.

Yeah, the only thing that's causing me a problem is the uncertainty about whether I have a job or not. At the moment, technically, I don't have one.
The fact that the HR departmnent don't seem to have a clue about how this might affect me emotionally, and my ability and motivation to do my job as a consequence, is the main reason why I will leave this company as soon as I get a decent offer elsewhere.
