Those ruins remind me of Philippi, which is just across the Aegean in Greece (take the bus from Kavala, and argue with the bus driver about how you want to be let out in the middle of nowhere).

We didn't go up, we just sat down on the steps near the entrance. It was funny, there were empty steps below us, and above us, but all the tourists walked along the row where we were seated. smiley - weird

I think it was more the Lemming effect: the first person of that group didn't pay attention and chose the row we were seated in (although it meant he had to step over bags and legs), then the others just followed suit blindly. smiley - laugh
