The message centre vanished, as you said, due to some variant of the standard bug which hides personal spaces when they're edited. It's normal for a moderated entry to have its forum hidden, but for some reason when the Eds restored my PS, the message centre remained obstinately empty. (Though the Eds told me they could see its contents.)

The bug is, however, sporadic. It doesn't hit everyone. And if it does hit you, the Jim and his team can solve it. They just took a while to solve mine, because they weren't up to it at the time.

It's hit quite a few people now, but you were the first whose message center vanished. I discovered another PS today, under premod, with the mnessage center gone.

So Jim can* fix it for you...

I think it's fairly normal for the message centre to be hidden when the PS is moderated. What was odd about mine was that it didn't come back.

I don't remember any of the other message ecnters to be hidden, it was just the PS which said it was under premod. And yes, I'm sure of it because I could still post to those whose PS were gone. Yours was completely new, which is why I said the bug has mutated.

I can't use ms word because I have v...v...v...vi...vi... I can't bring myself to say it! Prof will know the word I mean but I'd never ask him to say it for me.

I usually just write Entries of whatever type directly in the notes in Opera.

I've never tried Opera, I've always used Mozilla, one day I will though

I find it works better for hootoo.
