besides that I do not think that camel used a bell that was pink floyd, I know because they loan it to Jean Michel Jarre for his millennium concert in Egypt

[Well, the camel wouldn't do any housework, fix the bikes etc, would it? ]
Neither does the husband, by all accounts.

I suppose it's too late to suggest sending you a Benshasha donkey? There is a choice of colours available at the moment and they are practically maintenance free!!

Sorry - not for sale - not even for ready money. Anyway he's brown and too much the centre of attention in his little world to ever want to venture outside it.

a bit late, but tech probs had kept me offline a couple of days.
My advices:
1. get the bicycle to a place to get it repaired (ask them beforehand how much it will cost and get that in writing, just to make sure)
then feed the husband on potatoes and dry bread till the saved sum exacts the cost for repair
2. if the bike really can't get repaired, get a new one
then proceed as under no. 1
3. get rid of the husband, the money saving will be enough to get a new bike (and it's better for the nerves)

Oh, you know what a good housewife does if she sends her husband down to the cellar to fetch potatoes for dinner, and he trips on the stairs and breaks his neck?
She makes rice instead
