That would be wise, bearing in mind that our audio output so far consists of one clip for a one-off piece with only three speaking parts. If legsy or Roy are happy that they wouldn't be biting off more than they can chew, then go for it.

I think 2legs would like to do some audio, didn't he say so recently?
I'll email you.

Email the group, or 2legs. I wouldn't be producing it anyway, and I won't be around for another week or so, so there's little point in discussing the mechanics of it with me. As I said, I have no qualms with the idea at all.

Okay, so who wants to do the adapting? WEe've got a while until the end of the series so there's a bit of time. Shall we have a team to spread the workload? Also (and this is where 2legs' opinion will have to be canvassed) do we have a cast or just one person reading the whole thing. The latter option seems technically simpler and makes adaption rather less of an issue.

Have you never listened to Tibley Bobley's story 'Faces'? That's fantastic, and it has more than one voice.
Sorry, Rich, I didn't email you with any details, just some personal thoughts.

I think it would be much better with a narrator and dialogues, read by difrent poeple, but maybe that's just me.

a) I think Beeblecasting it would be a stupendously great way to pull all ten parts together.
b) I definitely think it needs to be done playscript (with narrator if necessary), rather than solo narrative.
c) I'd like to stake my claim to playing whichever character winds up most screwed up at the end of this saga. I intend to take voice-acting-with-a-£3.99-microphone to new levels.

How big a cast do we have? I suspect some people are going to end up taking on multiple roles. My personal issue with the multi-cast idea is that it is depedant (in my mind) on producing decent sound effects, otherwise it's in danger of sounding a bit shite. On the other hand we could have a narrator with voices and no fx, that might work.

I take it you still haven't listened to 'The Faces'

That was superbly read, narrated and edited.

2legs can make special effects - he's quite keen on the idea, in fact. I'm also trying to find an appropriate free sound site that we can use without too much linking from h2g2aviators.com; I'm going to make the final decision after the end of my camps, so there should be news on that front in the next few weeks. As h2g2aviators is run by TRiG and me, we're personally responsible for any copyright issues there, so I'm having to study the small print very closely.

That sounds great, Rich. There's still lots of time to plan and prepare, though, as it's about six weeks until the last episode.

I have listened to the faces and it certainly is very good. How much work is going to have to go into replicatingthat sort of quality ten times? At the moment we have five characters, but more could evolve.

I haven't a clue, but I guess it takes a lot of time to edit all these different recordings.
Maybe we (I) should ask 2legs whether he'd do it, before we go on planning and getting all excited?

That's a good idea Bel. If he's keen then perhaps we csn put together a script for the first episode as a sort of pilot to see how workable it is- do we want to have one person adapt all ten, or would it be better to share out the workload?

Hey guys- we've still got two more episodes to go until we're done here- so who's gonna pick up the baton?
