From what I understood, Einmoto can't send emails at all from his laptop.
Otherwise you're right, I think voting by email is the best option.

It is quite easy to have some sort of javascript (form)

similar to this one ...
It might be an idea for the future ... this is not me being fussy! Really! Just an idea about making it even easier!

In that case, you could ask Einmoto to let you know what he wants you to vote for and you could email them in on his/her behalf. As I've set up the competition to be decided by email votes, it would've been a nasty surprise if I'd written up the results only to find that you'd told people they could vote on the articles themselves. I can see why you suggested it, but anyone that sets up a competition - whether EotM (you've got me doing it now ) or a poetry competition - has a preferred voting method that makes it easiest for them to run it, so it's important to stick to that.

I haven't a clue, either, lil.
Let's not make things complicated. I think the email option is great, and Einmoto can vote on the submissions themselves if there is no other way, leaving a subject line which clearly says what this is about, and that should be it, really.

Using online polls and so on is up to the individual organiser. Personally, I wouldn't bother to set one up for something like this, as it's just as easy to click one link as another. It also means that an entrant can't just pop into an internet cafe and give him/herself another couple of anonymous votes.

Yeah, cheating could be an issue.

Simpost, Rich. And no, I haven't told anybody they could vote on the articles themselves, that was Einmoto's question, and I said I wouldn't see the probelm if *he* did - doesn't mean I'd want everybody else to do it.
OK, Einmoto, you could just leave me a message with your votes then, that seems to be best, and will keep others from following suit if you left your votes on the entries directly.
Is that OK with you, Rich?

I've screwed up, so ignore my votes, especially asI accidently voted for the same piece twice... server.
Rich, if you can confirm my votes have been scrubbed, I'll re-post them!
