Yes, and although the text is larger now, it's still doing my eyes in.

Whatever you did, lil, it worked.
I don't recall what exactly I did, but I managed to change the settings and now I have the 'correct' graphics back.

Hi Bel,
Going back to post 16, as one does, it seems to me that in one respect men are very easy for a woman to bribe......

That has to do with 'revenge' for the time before the women's revolution in the 1960's.

I'm not entirely sure what you two are on about, but hey.
I didn't try anything to bribe anybody, all I did was ask nicely, then wait for things to happen. I did ask if I could help in any way, the answer was 'no'. That was on Wednesday.
I didn't even ask if and what my husband had done - I didn't want to appear pushy.
Well, things were done by Saturday morning, when I finally could help and download and install some necessary software.
The PC starts really quick now, probably because it's still bar of data.
I have decided to try and keep it this way.
It's the second time I lost data in a hard drive crash, and now I'm wary.
I've discovered google docs, where I can save any future text files. Photos have been kept in online albums anyway, and currently, there is no music on my PC, because that was completely lost.
Which reminds me, that I once made a CD for my sister. Must ask her if she still has it - that would mean not all music was lost.

So glad you have a computer working again!
If it's still bothering your eyes, don't forget to check the brightness. I've been told that the current idea among designers is that "brighter is better". The new one I bought this summer looked like a nuclear accident until a friend helped me tinker with it for over an hour. Among other settings we changed, the brightness is nearly at the bottom now.

That's great! I can't wait for the photo. Fizzy promised one of you and Elphie.
Oh, and sazzle: take one of your mum and make her send that, too, ok?

Perhaps best to leave the lens cap on when you do though... Don't want to break the camera...
