Sorry but you are now 3 posts behind

I'm glad you had a nice birthday dinner - did you eat a whole duck, feathers and all?
So sorry about Coll's brother, it must be terrible to watch him suffer.
My sister and famly were here on her way back from their holidays, so we had a nice pizza last night, and a good breakfast this morning before they left for the last 400km. They haven't called yet, but should be home soon, I hope.
Soooo, who's three posts behind now?

Just on way back from gym. Printing up insurance document for USA hols.
Waiting for Coll to ring.
Pouring with rain.
Took loads of stuff to the dump incase Coll does sell up and move. Just de-cluttering. Old bikes in the sheds from the kids days etc.
Hope you a nice time with your sister. No I did not have the whole duck feathers & all. It was a duck leg with cherry sauce.
Anabel, yes I see about anagrams. My mates birthday is 31st Oct and I keep telling him it seems just about right.

Does Coll think about moving in with you?
I don't think you mentioned it before.
Only a leg of a duck? Did they want you to starve then?

I have this image of a legless duck hobbling about. No Coll is not thinking about moving in with me. She may not even sell up. It was just an idea we had having been offered a lump sum for her house.
At the moment we are planning the USA trip. Florida for Christmas

Will you stay with Coll's son for all of the holiday, or do a trip around Florida again?

We will stay with Coll's son. The thing is having had this operation on my eye, I don't think I can drive just yet. But we will manage, I'm sure. Coll hates the idea of driving herself in USA. I have done it and found it very easy. They may not allow me to fly as flying dehydrates the eyes. So they may not do the second eye until next January. I find out on Nov 14th when I return for review.
Anyway how are you? The paperwork is out for my ladies night. Sorry you will not be there. I will e mail you a copy any way, so you can see what it is about.
Regards to hubby and lads.

So you had your eye op now? When was it? Last I heard was that it was postponed. Hope you're well
Yes, it's a pity we'll not be there for your ladies night, but hope we'll meet another time.

The eye was done Friday 27th. The left one. I have to have the right one done soon.
I had to return to the hospital this morning as it was very gritty feeling. They said is was inflamed but nothing to worry about and gave me extra drops which I have to put in four times a day. But they say it is healing nicely. It is weird being able to see out of one eye and not the other without glasses. Typing is very slow and difficult, but I'm coping.

My mother in law had her eyes operated a year or two ago, and she's fine now. Suffered the same effects you are, but it's all ok.

Thank you.
I found out that a lad who lives in my cul de sac has just joined another lodge to which a friend goes. This lad does not know I'm a Freemason. So we've invited him to my lodge for tomorrow night's meeting and haven't told him I'll be there. I reckon he's in for a surprise
Just been to post the ladies night letter to a friend. E mailed several. I know people are waiting for them.
Only got three cheques left in my book. The bank usually sends when I get down to 10, but I've had to ring and order one. This is odd, and I've had words and they have promised to post one to me. I just hope it arrives in time for me to use.
It is very autumn like here. Trees are turning brown, but the sun is still out, and there was a frost. The fields were not white with it, but were damp.

Got your email, thank you.
It really looks like a great weekend, wish we could afford it.
I don't think many people here use cheques anymore, you just pay with your EC card.
It's freezing cold today, but I on't think we had frost yet. They forecasted snow, though

Hate snow.
I suppose it is very much connected to Christmas though
It is strange to be seen wearing sunglasses. People keep giving me funny looks. The eyeshades are special cataracts glasses, they curl around the side of the face. The glasses frames have one lens in them and one missing, where I have poked out the left one and hooked the dark glasses over the top.
As a James Bond fan I am looking forward to the new film which they say is being released any day now. The critics have been very praiseful of it.

I bet people think you look
I didn't know there's a new Bond to be released, who is starrng as Bond then?
Welcome back, traveller
The Liquid Warrior (Vescere bracis meis) Posted Nov 1, 2006
A man called Daniel Craig, whom I have never heard of. It is Casino Royale, which happens to be the first novel written by Fleming.
Due for release I believe in two weeks.
Still don't know why they wouldn't have me as Bond. I have the dress suit and now the dark glasses.
Key: Complain about this post
