It must be beach legs, takes nearly twenty days to recover?
Nah, just did not manage to unpack all the bags. Laundry , but the accessories have no hurry. I still have not found my notes .
'Rose' is going for her second grade in swimming! We encouraged her to show the teacher what she had practiced during the summer break. He was so impressed she has to take the test next saturday.
In class she already had some numbers, I can hardly call it maths, however she starts counting. 'Dad, saturday is the eleventh, the day the planes crashed into the flat' What to say of that, unneseccary, she starts crying. Some cuddling later: 'Dad, now I can not go to my friends birthday, she has her birthday on the day the planes crashed.' Well ok, no big deal you can go in the morning, or right after the test.
'Waterrat' made some remarkable remarks, where did I put my notes! Anyway he had a great time on the beach. Last year he was too small to play the whole day. But this year he complained every day he was not finished or the tide should rise a little more, or lower some more.
Can just only say we all had a great time, we went with my parents. And as usual my father ordered for very hot beach weather. Wich we got, too hot to do anything else then relax and play with the children.

Good time for birthdays, TiT! Little 's on 4 Sept, mine on the 17 - oh what a lot of Virgos there seem to be around!
Kids say some brilliant things don't they? I know little said some really remarkable things that I now don't remember (except the fact of the remarkability!).

Traveller in Time testing washes
"We had a great time, lots of clear nights to watch the s.
Lots of bright days to find the s.
Hi 'Zarquon's Singing Fish!'. My mom's is on the 16th .
There is something with these remarks that make you laugh the whole day, but if you try and remember the next you can not figure it out anymore, that is why I made notes. (Typically a father, not spending so many hours everyday with them.) "

I haven't been to the beach in ages. You must be so pleased with Rose and her swimming! No cross meetings with jellyfish, eh?

Traveller in Time on his head
"We have found some jellyfish washed on the beach, no encounters while we were swimming though.
I grabbed them (with some extra sand) in my hands and thrown them into the sea. 'Rose' was completely horrified as we found them. 'Waterrat' fascinated, special while I dare to grab them (about the size of my hand). "

oooOOOooo!
When I took my openwater scuba diving, I ran into some of those. They don't sting- well, they do, but their stinging cells aren't strong enough to really hurt you.
I ended up having to do underwater navigation through a swarm of them. Really weird feeling when you're reaching for your gauges and you grab one of them instead!
Anyway, glad you had a good time!

No- it's not the size of the jellies- it's the strength of their stinging cells!
I think the box jellies live in warmer water, don't they? This was in Rhode Island.

Yeah, they live in Aus.
Yeah, box jellies aren't that big, they're just REALLY powerful. It's why most beaches in box territory (mostly QLD) have STACKLOADS of vinegar on hand.
I was watching this program about this guy who swallowed a stinger from a box jelly. Nearly died. His insides are all scarred and stuff now.

does vinegar help on jelly fish stings?
i'm glad you all had a good time at the beach traveler!
i didnt get any chance to go to the beach at all. i had plans though... a dream of a beautiful sand castle with a moat... and perhaps a nice friendly moat monster to go in it...

"She did it!
'Rose' graduated for her swimming exam, not really surprising but she was a good deal exited about it herself.
Even 'Mesologist' managed to break school early . We had a total of four supporters for 'Rose'.
Party dinner tonight, I have the chicken in the oven already, the fried potatoes are to be done as well as the s "
