It did feel a bit odd, didn't it? It was sooo hot I think people were melting into their keyboards yesterday. I know I was.
I did put a in, though....but you'd gone by the time I got onto site.
ALSO... both lads are winding down from school/college, so it looks as if I may well have to share PC time with my little angels for the next couple of months

Don't envy you doing London yesterday S'hh It always seems hotter in a city environment - the concrete sort of sucks the heat in and percolates it, I always found.... what were you up to - or shouldn't I ask? Another interview?
Out of interest, how would you put into force a PC ban on my 2 hulking great lads - short of rings embedded into the wall and chains and fetters around their lower limbs?
(And even then I'm not sure the walls in this flat could stand that sort of harsh treatment>>>
How many grandkids do you have Smurfles? I have that all ahead of me... (at least, I HOPE it's all ahead of me rather than a current delight, anyway.
Though knowing my 2 I wouldn't be atall surprised....)

it took so long to post,i was just told i'm an unknown visitor, then kicked out,yet again!! I'm just beginning to wonder if it's something this end, the"box" is making a very peculiar sound.

I think I'd prefer 'em to be men Smurfles, and take appropriate precautions I can't stop 'em, but I'll be ever so miffed if I become a grandma before I'm 55. I haven't stopped being a mum yet!
(do you EVER, I wonder? I think its one of those life time commitment thingies... if I ever get cut into slices, do you think I'd have "mum" written thru me like a stick of rock?)
Thats an awful lot of teenagers my dear.... how on EARTH do you cope with teenage girls? They're a fairly alien breed in this household, generally speaking.
I too have been kicked off a couple of times since I got on. Apparently, I'm an unknown hiker! Pah!
And after this one, I've got to go - got an accupuncturist appt!
Wish me luck!

Hello you three!
Yes, Smurfles, it's taken me nearly 30 minutes to get to this end of this conversation, from signing in and straight here! I was kicked out once, and directed to The Post once before I eventually got to the end of this thread.
London, Shhh! You must be a glutton for punishment. It was hot enough here by Heathrow, what it must have been like up there makes me shudder to think.
And how's the belly, Ev? And all the other bits, of course! Goes without saying. Threatening thunder here on Friday and I'm thinking about it already!! I've got a lovely new phone now, but I keep unplugging it in inclement weather "just in case". I have got an independent "ringer" so I do know when someone rings me, depends if I get the plug back in before they ring off
Off home in a minute, only 24 minutes to go!

Ah... so we're due a downpour/entertainment on Friday, are we Granny?
I could do with the down pour.. its soo humid and hot here on the coast even the seagulls have gone on strike!
How's my belly? My word, thats a personal question! Lightly toasted from navel up and its usual(ish) self elsewhere. The musculature is burgeoning nicely, though. Within 50 years I should have a concave stomach to die for! Which, at the age of 97 will be a terrible waste, now I come to think of it...
I'm due another class this evening, but to be honest, I've just come back from a 2 hour session of accupuncture and I have to admit, I'm feeling a tad woozilly.... but if it stops the pain I can put up with it for the next 48 hours till the system calms down a bit!
Bond Street eh, S'hhh? I used to go modelling in Bond Street!
Ah... Happy days, when I started off with incrediably long hair.....

Woooooooooo sounds good - not sure if I did any good - and anyway it's more Grosvenor square I 'spose - not the safest place in the capital atg the moment
Belly Good
Moving On Posted Jun 21, 2005
Why? Has the nightingale escaped or something?
Whoops! Wrong Square
I'll have to ask WHY Grosvenor Square isn't particually safe a.t.m. Shhh - you know I avoid the news when I possibly can.
What world shattering event have I missed NOW?
Not sure if the long hair was particually "good" as such, bt it was certainly different once the bods at L'Oreal got hold of it!
Belly Good
Shhhhh Posted Jun 21, 2005
Oooooooh L'Oreal indeed!! Mind you I know who owns 50% of them
Grosvenor square isn't safe cos it contains the American Embassy and a lot of peeps don't like the yanks right now
Belly Good
Moving On Posted Jun 21, 2005
I cannot IMAGINE why!
Is that the only reasen its dangerous a.t.m. S'hhh? Cause if it is, then it's been like a Danger Zone for donkies years, hasn't it?
Having said that, I've just joined (by accident - you KNOW my geography is appaling) an American conversation forum. So far.... so far I haven't beeen sussed as a Brit - let alone an anachistic Brit!
You're not serious about the 50% ownership of L'Oreal, are you?
Are there ANY companies that arn't linked for godssake!

Just in case Granny sneaks on and wonders where everyone is.....
Hiya Granny!
Smurfles is off to Sheffield today,(apparently on a sparkly scarf hunt for me, bless her) Shhh's off till Monday crashing - sorry -testing cars (Have they got a steering wheel? Have they got 4 doors? Yup - thats a car alright) and me... I'm trying to find somewhere cool to lollop until the accupuncture's balanced itself, a bit.
Mind you... I got a marvellous night's kip last night - 8pm thru to 6am no waking, no whinging, NO PAIN!
Hell with it! I may give up trying to keep cool and just slouch down to the beach for an hour or two... now the DFLs have all gone home there might be a bit of spare sand to sit on......
Keep smiling
