Nothing wrong with bottom smacking!! Dont knock it till you've tried it!!
I totally agree about the wonderful public transport system. There is no way I can do my commute using public transport, not without making a ten hour shift into a fourteen hour shift!! I worked it out one day, (must have been bored!). It would cost something like £1500 minimum on public transport and take two hours each way, to do a thirteen mile trip. hardly encourages you to take it up does it? Oh, and Id have to walk over a mile to and from the nearest bus stop, before i even thought about a train!
Bah Humbug here tooo!! Were you a member of "freedom for tooting" per chance?? Citizen Smith and all that. "come the revolution brother, you'll be first against the wall".. made me giggle that show.

Didn't whatsisface do that for a week on the telly? You know, him with the sort of lumpy face...
There are some rich folks in Eltham I'm sure. It's going back a bit but I used to have a friend (much older I hasten to add) with 8 children and the council bought one of the posh properties on Green Lane 'cos they didn't have owt big enuf to house them once they started getting big.
Didn't half upset her new neighbours having a council house in their street
Nice house (once you got past the big, old-fashioned pram in the porch...)

ooh, a simulpost.
(No, really - it was. The OT came when I was writing the last post and made me climb on and off bath lifts an' fings. Me sciatica's killing me now)
We have a bus once a week. It goes all the way from Newcastle to Kendal (or was it Windermere?). So if I get a hankering for daffydills...
The bus Lurch would use for w*rk stops 4 or 5 miles away and doesn't even drop him there till 6.30 in the evening (leaves at 7.40am)
Dr Beeching has a lot to answer for

Tomorrow is another day. Trite but true. I'll go bite their backsides tomorrow - I'm giving myself a holiday from the rest of today.
And I'll buy a coach ticket up to the Mother's for Saturday, too.
