A CHRISTIAN ?
ALPHA-MALE Posted Oct 12, 2005
It looks like the Bible is Right. He has created a waster to destroy.
Go away, waster, and destroy your own, not ours. You're just a whited sephulcre, scribe. Certainly no Soldier.

Being Christian, as you rightly point out, I love you as one of God's masterpieces and wish you all the very best. The fact that you are dyslexic ....
means what? That I am in no way less than any of your God's masterpieces?
You got that bit right.
Taken to its logical conclusion, then we are *all* god's little masterpieces, and, as such, should respect each other
But please... don't blame Gill for your mistake - you yourself admitted you were drawing my attention - and by default anyone else's attention who read the posting - to the poor spelling.
The mark of a true adult is to take responsibility for their own actions and faults - and deal with them best they can
I try and use spell check to lose most of the glaring errors I make - there's no facility for that on this site, so I can't.
So we've established I'm dyslexic and you seem hell bent on proving Jack a liar.
I'd appreciate if you did not get together with Jack to build up whatever false picture he has of me (and of reality in general) on these boards. Privately, it's your loss. But, hey ho.
I'm sure you would.
But then, I'd appreciate if you just stopped being childish and spiteful in this current persona. Be a man.. or be a woman, be whatever you like, but please, be an adult.
A shame - but we can't always have what we want.
I'll accept your apology for what it's worth. Thanks.

Evadne,
I menat that the fact that you are dyslexic means that you are no more of a masterpiece than any of the Lord's creations.
I spotted the error only after Gill had told me, but decided to add the PS to make a poor (and as it turns out offensive joke). As I said, I thought you were having a dig at my spelling. I really need to look at the screen more often.
I made a mistake and I have apologised for that.
Jack is lying about at least one thing. To be honest, if you believe him despite the facts I have pointed out to you and the errors he has made on other posts, then that is ok. I am not here to convert you. I am here to expose him.
So, once again, Evadne, apologies for my error.

"I AM HERE TO EXPOSE HIM". Lord save us from Crusaders ! by what right does this person think she acts ? Doesn't the bible mention taking the splinter from your own eye first ? Are all 'Englishmen' like this, I wonder ? Madness writ large.

What I believe, and whether I believe it is a moot point - I'm not here to justify my beliefs either for or against anyone.
But I've seen more than enough proof in Real Life to know what I know and know exactly who and what to believe
You worry me, you do really.
Your christian faith tells you to love your fellow man as yourself. Somewhere in that big book of words is an injunction not to judge, lest you're likewise judged. Your founder preaches love and forgiveness - or perhaps.. perhpas, just call it toleration.
I don't recall anywhere in the bible where it tells you to go around pointing out whether someone's wrong, or someone's a liar.
That doesn't sound terribly Christian to me - it smacks of at best fundamentalism..and at worse case scenario someone who reckons they're on a Mission from God.
Oh well - I'm a pagan most of the time. It's not my problem

Can I have my space back, now, please?

Evadne Cake,
Apologies that I worry you. This was not my intent and it is certainly not a desirable effect.
As I stated, I am merely here to challenge the lie propagated by Jack with regard to military service. His glaring error in assuming that Brecon was a training area and had no bases at all proved what my wife and I suspected all along.
I am a Christian, but not a Bible thumping one. That's the missus. I do however conform to the basic principles. The ONLY reason I have gotten involved here is because he is not being honest and truthful about a job that is not even done by him.
Once again, I hold you no ill will as you are not the one making false claims about my profession and dishonouring those still on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan by idle boasting (for whatever reason).
As I ststed, what you believe is entirely up to you. I am not trying to change your mind about Jack. That's not some attempt at reverse psychology, either. That's just meant as it reads.
God bless.

Oh Isiaih - you surely don't believe you worry me that much!
A shame we can't get intonation on this site - it was more a mere shaking of the head and a dismissive "deary deary me" sort of comment.
What I can't get my head round though is this rubbish you spout about being vexed by wannabes - it's so petty I cannot believe that a real Army bod would bother their heads about it.
That sort of pettiness is knocked out of em in basic training. Frankly, your little crusade simply reflects poorly on the armed forces - they're men enough to fight their own battles, should they feel the need; and I'm sure they wouldn't thank you for purporting to fight their cause.
Naw.
This sounds to me like a fantasy Peter Pan and Wendy.
A Green eyed little monster sort of jobby.
As I've repeatedly stated, I'm not interested in your motives - or frankly, what you contribute to this site.
I outgrew playground tactics long before I outgrew the playground.
Learn to do the same, will you, please?

Evadne,
It may come as some surprise for you to learn that a lot of Forces people detest it when you hear about a wannabe spouting off how he stormed the defences of some castle and rescued the princess single handed.
My sister went out with a guy who used to give her a hard time. The guy claimed he was traumatised from being in the Army and having seen 2 mates die in an IRA attack in South Derry. He used this as a "line" to get what he wanted, be it sympathy, company or forgiveness.
It was all fiction. He was never even in the Army.
So, as you can tell, I have a special regard for these wannabes, more so than the regular derision we squaddues have.
I am sorry that you seem to misunderstand where I am coming from.
No playground tactics from me, just truth telling. Sorry that irks you so.

Your version of the truth doesn't irk me atall
The manner in which you put it across leaves a lot to be desired though - but thats merely my opinion.
By the by, the Army offer an excellent psychiatric councelling service for thier members -(but you'd know that, I guess)
It may be in your best interests to attend a couple of sessions informally - it may assist you with the desire to fight battles that arn't, strictly speaking, very relevant, and help you gain a sense of propertion
I'm absolutely amazed you didn't spot the cad who gave your sister a hard time, btw
What went wrong?
You can apparently spot a liar at 60 paces on screen!
Really, Isiaih, I really am not atall interested in listening to your justifications
If you want to have a pop at Jack, then, please, go ahead.
After all.
Real soldiers don't need civilian back up
-except in the movies!
EVADNE CAKE
IS5416 Posted Oct 18, 2005
Thanks for that, Evadne.
Very very kind of you.
I didn't spot the "cad" as I was 12 at the time. I can now spot people like Jack, who lie about serving a mile off. It's easy, as they get their basic facts wrong.
Thanks again.

Emotional manipulation and sob stories don't wash with me, either, so just leave it there, please.
But I will say this to you, with no sarcasm and no disparagement
Go and find some professional help
The more I learn about you the more I'm of the opinion you really do need some serious councelling.
Now please, sort it out between Jack and yourself
As I've said, I'm not interested.

Good Evening, Jill ! been busy, as you know, but managing five minutes or so to say hello. Good news all round (apart from the obvious) in your last message: time for some Mad Max action then....
