Hello World

Hello another person.

I registered with h2g2 in April 2003. You won't find many entries from me but I do browse the site from time to time. Last visited: 19 April 2013.

Kemlo is the name of the hero in a science fiction book from my childhood. He was the head of the Space Scouts, a group of youngsters who could live in space without the inconvenience of a space suit. He was my hero in the days when I still thought it would be possible to be an astronaut when I grew up. I see I'm not the only one who likes Kemlo: I found a conversation at Science Fiction and Fantasy by Kandyman though it's quite old (Jul 2000).

I am interested in anything to do with space, whether fact, fiction or fantasy, and, after many years as an armchair astronomer, have recently bought myself a decent telescope to replace the 3 inch reflector I got for my eleventh birthday and am learning to find my way around the sky once again. Currently experimenting with attaching a digital camera to it as my first steps into astrophotography.

Once I've spent some time looking around the h2g2 site I dare say I'll have something more interesting and/or relevant to put in here. This could take a while though, as my free time is very limited, so don't hold your breath.

For now though, I'd just like to say 'Hi' to anyone who cares to drop in. Looking forward to 'meeting' you in the Guide.
