I'm afraid that goes beyond the Heavy Leslie brief. You get organ. It's like karaoke, do your own singing...try not to get your iPad wet in the shower...

I'm surprised that "There's no business like show business" isn't on the list. it's from "Annie get your gun."

Yes, I agree. I can't think of a more obvious showstopper than that.

"Pal Joey" wasn't represented. There's little or nothing by Gershwin. Cy Coleman and Jule Styne and Frank Loesser should have been better represented. Oh, well. Cole Porter only got on the list at all by staying alive long enough to write "Kiss me Kate" and "Can Can."

Pajama Game should have been represented by "Hey there."
Damn Yankees had "You've gotta have heart."

Don't mention 'You Gotta Have Heart'. I have trauma issues from 'Damn Yankees'...the air conditioning cut out in the theatre, in June...then the devil went onstage drunk...smiley - rofl

Gnomon - time to move on

Again, "There's no Business Like Show Business" doesn't strike me as a real Musical song. It's more of a Song and Dance number.

You mean like "That's entertainment"? Perhaps you have a point, and yet what two songs could better be considered anthems of the musical theater experience? "Chorus Line" was literally composed of song-and-dance numbers. smiley - bigeyes

But 'There's No Business' was written in the musical context. They sing it when Annie Oakley joins the Wild West Show (if I remember correctly).

Maybe I should dig out the Betty Hutton clip, but that's too much fun in one day smiley - smiley

I rather like Judy Garland's performance in that movie. She was later fired and replaced with Betty Hutton
