Just popped in to say a very good morning to you. Hope it's as gorgeous as it was yesterday. Probably won't get to converse with you to often unless you're an insomniac It's nearly 4am and I've only got three more hours of nightshift to do. Do visit me soon.

Shock, amazement, excitement, somebody has posted in my guestbook.YAY! *bubble clears her throat and tries to act really calm and cool*
Howdy doody to you too !
So what brought you here ?! Common interest, an infinite improbability drive moment perhaps ?!
Do you know what, I've had a good couple of good days, absolutely exhausted with ME, but some really good things have happened ! My dad just got out of hospital, having just had a lung removed, and he is fit and recovering well ! My partner and I have just found the most amazing house and have put an offer in on it ! There is so much space I will not know what do to with myself. I will beable to dedicate one room purely to my painting/batik. Absolute luxury !
And how the devil are you doing today ? Tell me more about yourself, you don't give an awful lot away on your personal space !
Speak soon

Hey Jane !
It is so weird when people just drop in and say hi ! Never quite know where to start or what to say!
Good place to start is, what brought you to my page, and what makes it so delightful ?! Noticed you are into art, what kind of art ? What other interests do you have ? Where do you live ?
Would be great to hear more !

Hi Bubble! Caught your posts to opticalillusion and thought I'd just swing by your space too.
Batik painting, huh? How're you finding it? Challenging? A friend of mine (also an artist) was big into the Batiks and was a bit of a traditionalist in his tools, but had adapted the paintings to reflect modernist styles (does that make sense?). I used to love watching him with the little wax tool thingy (you can tell I'm an artist from way back!!!! not.), then applying the colours and removing sections of wax to apply more colours... it was like magic (esp. in the eyes of a child!). Sorry, I'm going on and on a little, but do drop by my space for a chat when you get a chance. I'd love to hear more about you and your art work.
Cheers,
minimeas

Hi minimeas ! Good to see you around these parts !
Finding batik quite tough, you need alot of patience, I'm getting there ! I also use the traditional tool, the wax tool thingy that you refer to is call a tchanting, very hard tool to control ! I also do modern designs, but of a geometric nature. Generally they are large wall hangings ! It is a very progressive form of art, great fun, I love it !
I noticed you have just got a puppy, cute, whats its name ? Forgive me for being dense, but what makes his coat flat ? Is it because you don't have to crimp it everyday ! Tehe !
Visiting Australia is an ambition of mine, I know, its a big place. My partner may have an opportunity in 6 months or so to be relocated to a place about 20mins outside of Sydney. So exciting !
Very impressed with the linguistic bit ! I admire anybody that can speak another language, I am useless at it ! Apauling really as I live in UK, my sister lives in France, and my Mum and Dad live in Spain !
So how long have you been doing the photography, I am a sucker for photos, personal ones of course, I love getting a good composition, I was very fortunate to have a swanky digital camera for christmas, so as you can imagine I have been playing like mad with it ! Have had some really great results, the bit I love is the output is instant, if its not good enough, I go back and take another !
Must fly
Good to catch up soon !

Hi Bubble,
Hah hah hah.... visions of small, furry puppy sitting in a hairdresser's chair with curlers, very cute! Flat-coated (as opposed to curly-coated... yes there is such a breed) retrievers look almost exactly like golden retrievers, but with slightly shorter hair (and not golden coloured) -- they come in black, liver (that's a colour now???) and chocolate (that too???), so I am reliably informed. His name is "Shadow" (you were born in 1971, so you should be old enough to remember the old comics: The Shadow -- who knows what evil lurks in the heart of men? The Shadow knows!). He's currently justifying his name by following either me or my boys around everywhere. Come by my space and check out my journal entry for more on my family (sans husband who is away at work in the daytimes).

Hi Bubbles, it seems we have a bit in common, and a bit not in common at all.
(My collection of kites now includes a paraglider.)

Hi minimeas
Went and had a look at your photos they are absolutely amazing, the colour and depth is breathtaking ! Fantastic ! You obviously have a good eye for composition !
The furry puppy must be brilliant for the kids ? Especially if he is like a shadow, its so good for children to bond with animals, and to think of them as their friends. I wish my parents had allowed me to have a dog or a cat as a child. Alas it was just totally impractical.
Must , speak soon !

Hi how are you lately? are you ok? I'm fine I am hoping I become an ACE soon and life outside the computer is going well for me too. But enough about me I would like to know what you have been up to lately and most importantly if you are ok.

Things are a bit tough at the moment ! But getting by, unfortunately any small life event seems to set me back, which is tough because you can't control certain things happening in your life !
How are you doing ?
Hi there long time no speak
Big Sis Opt Minister of love, life and laughter and ACE Posted May 12, 2003
I'm ok its just others around me misinterpret me!! One of my so called friends is now ignoring me cos she thinks I called her something when I did not and others want me to side with them and go up against other people and I don't want to be horrible to anyone.
Hi there long time no speak
Bubble Posted May 14, 2003
Try not to get involved, whichever side you take you will lose out. Just explain to people that this is not your bag and you just want to get on with everyone. You never know making such a strong stand, might be a refreshing change, and people might see the value of standing out of the futile situation.
Hope things are better for you now !
