TODAY IS THE DAY that i have had to say"well,i don't believe it!!!!!
5yeayears ago i had a new drive laid.it's quite a long drive,and when it was laid it was done in one piece.now seen as we arent experts on concreting,or laying drives(maybe that should be"we WEREN'T")we weren't to know that it should have had expansion joints in it....apparently this allows it to expand without crackingwell.to cut a long story short,it had to be taken up ,and re-laid.of course anyone could be expected to assume that would be the end of the matter.oohhh noooo,no such luck.i think the drive has a mind of its' own!!!!it was re-laid AGAIN,for the FOURTH time TWO WEEKS AGO.
The man who does the inspecting of these sort of things came to see me today...to do a final inspecting..so that we could all breath a sigh of relief!!!!!!!

i stood with baited breath as he walked up and down,,and said mmmm,a couple of times,and smiled at me........,THEN, , I WAS GIDDY BY NOW...,he said well.it'll have to come up agaiin in the spring..it's too cold to do just now!!!!!
this time it is so bad it hurt his feet when he walked on it.
when it is re-laid next year it will be over five years since the original one was taken up.
i mm in a state of shock....no sense will be made of my postings tonightight!!!!!!

At least you have found a company that won't rest until the jobs done right! Pity it isn't right first time!

Your no doubt are mad and frustrated ! Sorry to hear this has happened again. Unreal.

Hi Sal,Hope your ok,sorry to hear about your drive,at least they are putting it right,but why wait till spring,would have thought now was best time to inspect it,just as it was finished,or was it because of the cold weather,why did it hurt is feet!!!.xx

Poor Sal, Why dont you just cover it with sand and lay slabs or mono-block over it No need to worry about expansion gaps there!

Just drill a few hole for drainage first, and thats it
