to all my friends who i havent ben able to reply to.i am sorry ,but i am having problems ,as it seems a lot of people are,in accessing h2g2.i can manage an odd message,and tonight is the first time i have been able to stay in for more than ten minutes.if anyone knows what XML"error acess" means..i'd love to know.

And I know what you mean about the virus smudger, there're always "lower than a snakes belly" scum out there ready to disrupt things as much as possible - they don't care when, but if they can sieze on a particulary significant/symbolic date, they will .

For those of you it can help, Norton just put out an update to cover the virus, if you have the software and it doesn't auto update click on options and live update. It shouldn't take long, unless of course you have never updated.

For all those of you with problems on pc, I keep getting warnings from norton about a trojan horse wanting a look about in my P.C. while I'm on here, it may be nothing but these things are sometimes malicious so check your firewall.

Hopefully that'll help some of you, good luck to all on cable boxes though as telewest blew up 10 cable boxes in a local street with a power surge recently. Must have something to do with them as no other appliances were affected.

They did it just to prove they can get something down the cable network, as obviously the interactive doesnt work so well.
I used to have on digital for net access and it sucked. Best thing I did buying a PC though do try a mac as they are less prone to problems.

Yeah, I would try a Mac next time!
