If you are a digibox user, or just have a slow connection, you might want to know that h2g2 is available without the graphics. It's a different skin to the one you are probably using now and is called "plain". To find out more go to A948602 or to change your skin right away click this link -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/UserDetails and make sure "plain" is selected in the skin box then click "update details. A couple of good places for ex LD'ers are U201567 and A913150 The FoLDers Arms Bar !

Ok not to worry, this is a bit different to LD here.
Firstly capital letters arent used as it indicates shouting! unless you want to emphasize a word of course!! LOL

No, your 'Hi All' message is fine where it is.

There is an option in the menu on your page to check who is online - and guess what? its calles 'who's online' or you can click here <./>online</.> Every one can check this at any time.

It may be that you are using midnight angel as your sign in name but you are still showing as researcher 220962. if you click here <./>UserDetails</.> you will see that the top box is for a nickname. Enter midnight angel there and then press the update details button a bit lower down and this will mean you show up as that name on the site.(you dont need to enter a password or anything to do this as you are already logged on)

You may be able to find some old friends here, this is the list of LD users (well most of them anyway i think!) A814303 Just click on anybodyies name to visit their page. But i would also visit this page U200238 as it has lots of helpful info.

First step is to get your nickname onto the site. (you will see that when you post a message it says posted by researcher 220962. Once your nickname is entered it will show up on every post so ppl will know its you!

HI Mort.Thanx so much for the information u been a great help.Well i seem to be getting a bit better at this now lol i now know how to find old friends see whos on line and even gave my self my nick name rather than just a number lol and as well as catching up on some old friends even made a couple of new ones so its a bonus. Oh yeh i know talking in caps symbalise shouting it did on ld and most chat sites too lol just have to remember that lol n e way you have a good day thanx again chell

glad to see you getting on, dont worry it took me a while to get the hang of it and look at me now only 6 months later! but i am still learning all the time too
