You guys don't have organic cake mixes there? I use the one from Hodgson Mills, and there's no eggs in it, you're supposed to add them.
I don't use eggs in the zippy cake I make -- still tastes relatively like cake.
I fsugar is an issue that coffee mug recipe has a massive amount in percentage to the rest of the ingredients. Just sayin'.

I usually just use 2/3 of the sugar in any given recipe, 1/2 if it's an American recipe.

I cut back on the sugar and eggs in a couple of my mother's recipes -- honestly, pumpkin pie over here is more like pumpkin custard with a crust!

Well, since I don't eat cake or chocolate I guess I can sit this one out.
Finally recovered from my trip to Morocco. Not only did we get stranded there for an extra night (no ferries running due to high winds) but the slow crossing on the BIG ferry the next day was so rough the whole boat was turned into a huge vomitorium. Seriously - it was three hours of pure hell.
When I finally got home, showered and got into my bed on Monday night I didn't think I would end up there for 36 hours! I guess being so sick on the boat really wore me down. But I'm feeling better today and it's nice to be vertical again.
As for Morocco ... it was amazing! Truly the best trip I've ever taken. I'm just finishing with uploading photos and writing a blog post, so should be able to post a couple of links here soon.

morocco is on my list of places to visit. I just dont want to have a secret told to me by a dying man, and have my son kidnapped, but i do want to sing "que sera sera' while i'm there.

Sorry, Az. I was referring to that movie, "the man who knew too much". James Stewart, Doris Day. he plays a doctor, and she his wife, who is a famous former singer, but has quit now that she's a respectable doctor's wife. He sees a man get shot, the man whispers something to him before he dies, they try to get the police involved, but of course there's a conspiracy, their young son gets kidnapped, and at the climax of the movie, Doris is singing que sera sera in this gorgeous home, where the song echoes up the stairwell, and her son hears it, and sings his part back to her, and they find him. Happily ever after.

I *knew* it had to be a reference to something!
Thanks for clearing that up. Now I'll be able to sleep tonight.

oh you're welcome, Az. I have a bad habit of just assuming people must be aware of all the obscure things i'm fascinated by. Have a good rest.

Just realised that I forgot to post a link to my latest cancer update...

First round of chemo over and done with. Sure can't wait for them to put a port in...

And now waiting to see if the new anti-nausea meds word.
But hey, I've got sunshine and cats and there is still the lovely scent of orange blossom (azahar) in the air.

It seems that you are in the way to get better Az.
Despite the pain, the "metal mouth", etc.
All my best wishes for you dear Az

You can call me TC Posted Apr 3, 2009
I'm really wishing and praying really hard for you Az. I'm quite flush at the moment and have tried the "donate" button on your blog page, but haven't got it to work yet. Any tips? I could see if I can find your address and send it to you if all else fails... Do you still have my e-mail address?
Love to Noggin and yourself.

azahar Posted Apr 3, 2009
With the donate button you have to type in an amount and then it gives you the country/language option, TC. It's a weird set up.
In any case, have just sent you an email.
