Sounds like you have quite a wimpy sort of computer. I know that the inside of mine is loaded with cat hair yet - so far! - it keeps on working.
You're the second person to mention wallpaper here in the past 24 hours. How bizarre - I don't think I'd ever consider papering a wall.
As for having a workstation - um, I have my computer bits strewn about on the top of some cupboards under my bookshelves. This means I have to type with the keyboard on my lap and at a somewhat odd angle. Which just *might* have something to do with the rather unattractive HUMP I have developed just below my neck . . .

Yes, weird indeed. I'll have to investigate that a bit further.
Thanks for that one. I've no idea how you found it.

Encourage whom? The mysterious Spanish researcher (another one?!) or dabbityduck?
I imagine all electrical goods will work just fine all over Europe because everywhere uses the same 240V 50Hz as the UK. It's the USA and Japan who's electricity comes in a different flavour.
You do get around, don't you?

No, I was referring to another thread.
As for dabbityduck he somehow found me and was asking about these 'white goods' and I saw on his page that he had also asked the mystery researcher for info.
How are you? Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Ahh, that *her*. I've joined the 'cryptic clues' thread and was depositing a clue where she could find it.
The weekend? Still decorating I expect, unless the weather makes a day out irresistable. I just can't seem to get anything done in the evenings so if there's a project in progress it tends to tie up the weekends a bit. The sun is shining here and the forecast is good for the next few days so I might be tempted out of the sawdust and paint (a messy combination ) on the pretext of 'buying materials'.
Feeling tired as usual. I get sleep-deprived through the week so tend to sleep in at weekends which is not ideal for the body clock. I should go to bed earlier I suppose. Otherwise well, thanks.
How are you now? Do you feel a bit more in control now you've decided what to do for poor Lua? In a way I know what you're going / have been through and have found that once I've worked out what I'm going to do, however short of ideal the plan is, I feel much better able to cope - even though the future prospects may sometimes be pretty unpleasant.
Well, off to lunch shortly so I'll have a little browse of the site while it's quiet. Most probably catch you later.

no sorry, that second one was 'just in case' you did it again.
Do you usually go to bed late? I find I sleep the same amount (not nearly enough) weekdays and weekends. Except that somehow I feel wider awake at, say 7am on a Saturday, than during the week.
Yes, I'm much more relaxed about Lua now that I have made the decision. I guess I am somewhat in denial as well. Not really thinking about what is going to happen and concentrating on enjoying her and spoiling her as long as I can.
I want to see two films at the cinema this weekend. Monster and . . . oops, can't remember the name of the other one. Also it is warming up and the orange blossom (the azahar) is beginning to blossom, so I shall be out walking more and riding my bike.

I usually get to bed about midnight or half past but I'm up (during the week) about 6:30.
Oops have to go.
Have a nice weekend.

Hi az,
Good grief! Monday afternoon already.
Where does it all go?
A nice, sunny spring day today . A bit wet over the weekend but I was busy so didn't have time to worry about the weather.
No blossom here yet that I've seen but it won't be long now. We don't get orange blossom of course but the flowering cherries will be out soon. The birds are singing in the morning now and the days are steadily lengthening. Where there's life eh?
Watched 'The Pianist' on DVD recently; terrific film. About WWII Polish Jews so a little bit shocking in places but a great (true) story of courage and determination.

hi there,
Well, a pretty uneventful weekend (for a change ). Didn't make it to the cinema but had a nice lunch out with a friend on Saturday.
What else? Well yes, it is another Monday, isn't it. Just about over now - I'm about ready to hit the hay with my latest Terry Pratchett book. But first I think just one more glass of

Aha! Stealing my signature idea, eh???
Been racking my brain for some good new ones. Once I get a good few going I can just use them on a rotating basis.

Gosh, midday on Wednesay. What happened to Tuesday?
On the grounds that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I've picked up on your (minor) Justin baiting approach of adopting subtitles of the form 'spawn of Satan'. I hope you don't mind.
It's wicked to mock the afflicted and Justin is clearly that so maybe the subtitles are not so far from the truth.
How are you then, still on the Whiskas? Next door's cat eats it and we've got a couple of pouches so we can feed her if they're out. I have to say the chicken variety smells nice enough to put in sandwiches (checks lunch box, no; cheese. Phew) but the tuna isn't quite so appealing.
I'm a bit concerned for Bels - it's a while since he posted (8 January) but he maybe can't get on here if he's having treatment and in any case will have greater issues than posting on a message board. Odd how all these anonymous strangers are all friends isn't it? Even the people I don't like I would still care about if I learned they were ill.

Typical! Nothing for 36 hours then a simulpost in five minutes.
Get off my wavelength, you don't know where it's been!

Justin baiting??? Moi? Never! I am simply calling myself by the various names he constantly refers to me (and the rest of us) as being.
I saw you on the Bels thread the other day and wondered what was up. I sent him an email awhile ago but I really don't like to intrude so I reckon if he isn't posting then that is up to him. He knows we are here. I sincerely hope he is okay.
