Whats the twelve grapes thing all about?
Im intruiged, might introduce it as a party game as the traditional screeching of "Auld Langs Aiyne" at the bells does my head in.

If you can finish eating the twelve grapes (symbolizing the twelve months of the upcoming year) before the twelve bells finish chiming at midnight then this is supposed to guarantee you a lucky year.
handy tip: either buy seedless grapes or prepare the grapes by taking out the seeds (and preferably peeling them) beforehand, as this makes them easier to scoff down.

I think we'll give that a go tonight.
Its not a good game if its too easy.
az you will have to come and visit for a party at some time. My parties are guranteed to lift the blues but I make no such assurances about hangovers

Well, I'm really hoping to go to England sometime this year. I've found out I can go from Malaga-Bristol for about 100 euros (depending on the dates, of course). My best friend Lizzie lives in Bristol so I would like to stay with her for awhile and then get to London for a few days. It would be lovely to see you (and Blues Shark again) though I'm not sure I could survive one of your parties
How did it go with the grapes? I cheated and ate twelve seedless and peeled grapes from a tin (someone had given them to me). But I started to panic and ended up finishing them even before all the bells chimed, so I wonder how that will affect my luck.
Well, one of the benefits of staying at home on New Year's Eve is starting the year off without a hangover
Hope you are feeling okay today.

Hello big sis, if you are infact a woman. I will have to check with the oracle of h2g2 Della the all seeing.
Sometimes Della's stuff creases me up.
Anyway I like your photos, very nice, your pad looks very tidy, me and the dogs prefer a much more "relaxed" approach to keeping the place clean. the Horse festival looks nice if a little too frilly for mytaste. we get people with horses in the park over the raod from me on Sundays during the summer. Talking of which it even looks hot in your photos.
Here are some more of me and the family at new year.

Unfortunately the quality is not up to much due to over doing it ever so slightly with the alcohol.

I checked out the New Year's photos and also your other albums. I just found out about Fotki a few days ago - great innit?
The party looked like great fun - wish I could've been there.
My pad looks tidy??? Hmmm . . . which one? Especially as in the cat photos there were at least half a dozen flats involved. My latest one is shown in the first photo with me holding Sunny and near the end, with Azar sitting in the bookshelf.
I'm still adding photos to the Sevilla album. Meanwhile, I reckon 90 cat photos are probably quite enough!

azahar Posted Jan 6, 2004
hi darling,
Well, just imagine how awful it must feel to actually *be* someone like Adele/Della. Imagine living with such nasty feelings all the time.
Nope, no one is being mean to me, but the day is still young.

What a day! It's now almost 7.30 and I've just finished lunch. Went out for a bike ride earlier. Feeling quite disorganized, which is probably NOT a good thing since I start back to work tomorrow.
Oh well, I'm quite good at throwing it all together at the last minute and making it work.
Hope you had a good day and didn't let the @rseholes get you down.

Just fine thanks big sis.
Been quite disorganised and lazy myself.
Have a even though its not your B'day yet you deserve it.
Hope the poorly feels better, Jaja sounds like he has a sore throat or some kennel cough at the mo. So I know how it feels to worry for a animal you cant "talk" to or ask how does it feel.

azahar Posted Jan 6, 2004
Hey, I only said I was being disorganized, NOT lazy!
Okay, okay, have been a bit lazy today as well - I confess. Which is why I didn't even get around to eating lunch until 7pm. But this is good as now I won't need to eat dinner.
Lua seems to be better today. Still some difficulty walking but less than yesterday. Also, I think she is enjoying all the extra attention and special food - I was up half the night with her.
It is a problem with animals in that they cannot tell you 'where it hurts' or how much. What's a kennel cough?
Well, I really shouldn't be working tomorrow since it is The Big Day, but someone called today wanting a class tomorrow morning and I think I will also have two classes late afternoon. Too skint to say no and anyhow, I've had quite enough time off already.
By Thursday I will be back to my usual schedule, just minus one student who is still away due to a motorcycle accident (damned inconsiderate of him!)
hasta mañana cariño,
