Thanks for the call.
I was telling Noggin about all the kudos you received from the kids and both us thought that nobody deserves that more than you - yeah, big kid yourself, but also someone who can very naturally relate to kids and make them feel safe and understood.
I think you really have a gift for that, little brother.
And I love hearing your voice.
Well, hope to see you again soon - either at the Seville mini-meet or anytime you want to visit. You *know* you are always welcome - there is always a place for you here.
love you,
az

Hola! SIS,
Right back into work now and things are starting to get back to "normal".
How are things going with the rag trade? Have you got your sleves in gear yet, come on if you cant do it for yourselves think how much I need wealthy friends to send me free clothes and who will put me up in anyone of their three palacial homes.
How was your trip to Madrid havent been 'round a lot so I havent seen if you've written about it elsewhere, but i was expecting a journal entry or some such.
Life is fine and after a rare good (ie. going to bed at a reasonable hour and sober) nights sleep I had a a flash of inspiration for a money making business opportunity this morning. It will take a little negotiating but I think it might work.
For the moment Im still a wage slave but luckily Im mostly doing things Id be doing anyway but I dont tell *them* that. Oh and I bought a wicked Nina Simmone LP the other day when I come over I'll have to bring that.

I'd love to hear the Nina Simone album - can't wait! Meanwhile, remember that CD you bought when you were here - the one I copied? With that song in it that was also in the film Ghost Dog? Well, I made a copy of it for my 15-year-old student AgustĂn (you met him up on the rooftop of where he lives) and he looked a bit unimpressed (ha! music from an old fuddy duddy like me) but thanked me for it. A week later he told me it was *totally cool* and then *really* thanked me for it. I told him it had come from you and he thought that was even cooler! (I think he was quite taken by your dreads as he'd gone to Jamaica the previous summer and became a total Bob Marley fan). So my 'cool factor' got raised a couple of notches there - thanks for that, bro.
The trip to Madrid was great. Noggin and I spent the first day at the textile trade show and Noggin found it very interesting, talking to all the suppliers, looking for stuff we need, etc. One very interesting button and trim supplier even took us into his 'private office' where we were given a plate-ful of jamon serrano and glasses of - VERY civilised!
The second day in Madrid we did the tourist thing, going to the Prado and Reina Sofia art museums, as well as a walk through a lovely public park. Here are a few photos, not epecially good ones.
http://public.fotki.com/azahar/madrid/
I don't find Madrid as a city to be all that inspiring, and we missed a few good 'photo ops' the first day after we left the tradeshow and went to the centre afterwards as we had left the camera at the pension. Ah well ...
Looking forward to hearing more about your 'flash of inspiration' biz idea.

Toilet brush?

I swear I haven't the foggiest notion what you mean.
Oh, btw, did I tell you I'm saving changing all the lightbulbs for your visit because I know how much you enjoyed doing it last time. No, no need to thank me - I'm just naturally generous that way.
And if you're *really* good and book your ticket soon I'll even let you fix the kitchen cupboard next door.

Its not a toilet brush...oh nevemind.
Did you try to ring me last night? I will try to give you a ring back about lunchtime.
Well I see less and less of you here. So I suppose I'll just have to get over there to see you...and bring tools.
Oooh nice page ducky.
azahar Posted Oct 8, 2005
Nope, wasn't me ringing you. But this reminds me to buy some phone cards in case the urge hits.
You see less and less of me here? Hmmmm . . . I am probably not posting so much these days, but I'm still here and there most days.
Latest news. Noggin and I quit smoking (yes, again!) on Monday, so one *smoke free* week coming up tomorrow. I've also started yoga classes, which I find helps a lot with not smoking. Noggin has occasional MOMENTS but is doing very well - he's only had one cig all week.
Time for some basic lifestyle changes - feels like the right time (this time).

Lovely to hear your voice!
And *very* good news that you'll be coming to the meet for sure!
As for the length of your stay . . . well, how long do you want to stay? I've offered MoG 'Lua's room' while she's here (March 22-28) but if you stay on after the meet you'd be welcome to move in on the 28th. The actual meet day is the 26th and I think most people will be arriving the day before and leaving the day after. So if you arrive on the 25th you'd only have to pay for three nights at the pension (20 euros a night). Well, something to think about.
Is your email working now for you to send me your address?

Nice to speak to you and you recognised my voice this time
I'll send it later whne I have chance as I cant use e-mail at work.

azahar Posted Oct 15, 2005
Well dang! The other day (before I got your address) I finally found the you-know-whats in my size - for some reason they often tend to be sold out of my size. But later when I went back to order them (after I got your address for the mailing details) they were sold out again!
I hope they get more in soon because frankly the situation here is getting quite dire. . .
How are you doing?

Thought I'd let you know that the *delivery notice* was a false alarm. I was sent an email telling me that the 'item' was presently out of stock, and still remains so.
A bit annoyed with myself for not thinking of asking Noggin's sister to pick some up for me as she and her husband were here visiting last week. Anyhow, we had a great time. I've spoken to them on the phone but it was very nice to finally meet them in person. We spent three days being tour guides and taking them to some of our favourite tapa places. On the third day we opted for 'our' Italian place for lunch to give them a break from tapas.
They loved the brekky bar, of course. Also the famous pringá. Not to mention the garlic prawns, the 'fritura', chocos and solomillo al whiskey. It was quite funny to see their first reaction to picos . . . like, wtf is this??? But several tapa bars later they became quite intrigued by all the differnt varieties. Oddly, they didn't want to take any home with them . . .
Yes, it's starting to get a bit chilly here, but so far I'm still wearing sandals. Just bought a new winter coat though (fab black wool/alpaca kneelength number) and will probably be wearing it soon. Seems to be how it goes here. One day still wearing sandals, the next day it's suddenly tights and shoes *and* winter coat.
Well, I shall look forward to hearing more about the 'things in the pipeline'. We finally signed all the legal stuff (gaaaaaaa, there was so much paperwork involved!) and so 'ps productions' is now go! A bonefide limited company. Should be getting our tax/vat number next week, which means we can finally start buying production materials . Did you have a look at the clothes? Yeah, I know they are cr@ppy photos, but it was just to give people an idea of what we're doing and also to get some feedback.
Anyhoodle, hope things are going well with you.

Brr its bit cold today here.
Dreat to hear things are moving along with the clothes.
Things arent lookin too grand on the job front but Im sure things will all work out.
Today I had a great day taking some art students to the zoo. The smell of uring and droppings was realy bad some times but then we got off the coach and into the fresh air of the zoo. Da-Dum-Tish!
Tomorrow Im having to take some kids up to the local (and my favourite) football club for the day. Damn Im going to miss this job.

One new pic on the original six7s album, not sure if Mudhook's and MoG's albums might be new to you.

Yeah I looked through them just the other day.
Somt threads just drop of my radar kind of. I found the az cabal phots funny at the time looking back the other day I still laughed at a fair few of them.
I noticed the Lua thread bumped up your convo list and thought not sunny or azar now. Its really nice the way that convo has turned into a sweet thing.
I will still be doing groovey things dont worry Im a one trick pony so I'll be in the same line of work whatever happens even if its just mostly voluntary.
I hope your new underwear brings you as much comfort as it has dont hassle and excitment.
Oooh nice page ducky.
azahar Posted Nov 17, 2005
Okay, was just wondering if you'd also checked out MoG's and Mudhook's albums as you feature in some of those as well . . .
Yeah, isn't it nice how the Lua thread has turned into a 'total cat' thread?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . new knickers! Can't wait! Though in the end I had to order them in a different size and colour but, what can I say, things are getting pretty desperate over here . . .

Have you got a new email address? I just sent one to you and it came back as a 'delivery error' saying that account didn't exist.
