Well, today is Noggin's birthday! We've had a great time so far. Brekky in bed, then some work, then the traditional lunch out at the Birthday Restaurant . . . now N is out teaching and when he comes back we're going to watch a film we got on dvd awhile ago called Belleville Rendez-vous. So I'll be making and opening some soon. Boy I love birthdays!
Things are really coming together fast with the biz. Webpage should be up and running soon. Seen the final logo?
http://www.natural-clothing.com/
On Saturday we'll be doing the photos and meanwhile there are about a brazillion other bits and bobs that still need sorting out and taking care of. So we might end up being totally crazily busy during the meet, but I'm sure we'll at least be able to make the Friday night dinner and the actual Saturday meet day.
Was just thinking that we could probably squeeze you in here if you are planning to come on your own. Let me know.

And just to tempt you further . . . the doorbell needs rewiring, lightbulbs need replacing, kitchen tap needs tightening, cupboard door needs fixing and a couple of balcony doors could do with a bit of planing down (not closing properly).
Most people would be tempted to go to Spain because of the promise of sunny climes, great food and cheap , but I know you better than that.

Really sorry I cant make it to see you two and the others.
Why cant life ever be just uneventful instead of fits and burts of nothing then everything to do all at once.
Oh well hopefully things will sort of calm down soon and I will if time and bank balance allow get out for a short visit.
Hope your business is going smoothly.

As for you, well, you know that mi casa es tu casa. So, whenever you like. Around mid-April we should be taking over one of the rooms next door for storage and shipping so Lua's room *might* be available for visitors by then. If not, the ol' air mattress also fits just fine in the living room.
Good luck with everything.

Well Ive been busy with work, thanks for the good wishes they obviously helped.
Feel a bit out of touch having been "away" for so long.
What's new with you? How did the the other hootooers enjoy Seville?
Has it been sunny there? Here its been mostly rainy and very cold but its sunny and warm in my because I met a new lady but more about Lynne another time.
Im off to do a bit more sports then Im going to attack all the paper work that comes with being free lance

azahar Posted Mar 31, 2006
A new chica in your life!!! How fabulous. Must hear more about this.
Yes, it's been almost obscenely sunny here all week! And the orange blossom is at its best, the scent of it wafting all over the place - heaven!
Last weekend's meet went very well. Did you see the photos?
http://public.fotki.com/azahar/seville_mini_meet/
Meanwhile, don't talk to me about paperwork! Gaaaaaaa! We had a meeting yesterday with our paperwork guys (called Gestors here - don't think this job actually exists in other countries, but we NEED them). Anyhow, we quite like our gestors and they came recommended by a friend, and they've really been helping us a lot . . . for a fee of course. But actually quite a reasonable fee. Certainly way cheaper than what Noggin used to pay his useless accountant in Wales.
But the gestors don't only do accounting - they also take care of every niggly bit of official paperwork that needs doing when you start up a biz here. From setting up social security accounts, VAT stuff, etc, to extra garbage removal expenses and all sorts of other things we wouldn't know are included with starting up a biz in Spain.
We're hoping to 'go live' by next week. Will let you know!
much love,
SIS

The site and clothes look great. So do the models why didnt you introduce me to them when I was over?
Nevermind things turn out how they turn out and right now Im a very happy fella
The new chia in my life is called Lynne.
She is pretty, intelligent, charming, generous and caring amongst other things. We have been having a lot of fun because she is also quite a spotaneous and vivacious person too. Just my type in a lot of ways.
There is a but though...
Well not for me but other people have been left a little goggle eyed when I tell them who she is.
She is the mum of my friends girlfriend, she's 52.
She was very sweet to me at my friends birthday party. I had a broken toe and a very friendly but very drunk woman I didnt know kept grabbing me to dance which I would have done normally but I had a broken toe so was just content with tralking anf taking a few liquid pain killers
Seeeing my distress Lynne came over to rescue me from her friend and apologise. I said it was all cool and not to worry.
I assumed she was married and left it there later we ended up sitting next to each other and I asked a question about the man I thought was her husband and she explained that she was divorced. I said if Id have known earlier Id have come over to chat her up and she said "Well why dont you"
and that was that.
We've been seeing each other for few weeks and things have been going fine...so far so good...might even invest in some linen presents for her when the weather gets a bit warmer.

What a wonderful love story!!! I love it!
Age difference, schmage difference, that's what I say. The important thing is that you get on well and enjoy each other's company and feel close together.
My last husband was 11 years younger than me. My last boyfriend before Noggin was 13 years younger. So?
Oh, have to tell you that younger ex-husband is back in town - apparently for an indefinite stay. N and I bumped into him whilst going out to our local (Bar Campanario) for a nightcap last week, so I called him over to introduce him to N and all that. And it was fine. Was pleased to see that he's kinda FAT these days, so I didn't need to feel so embarrassed about my present corpulence. Ha!
Anyhow, the three of us went on to another bar for yet another nightcap and ran into a friend of J's - Chris from Manchester - who seems like he is about to become a friend of ours as well.
Weird night - Noggin and I lurched home around 4am and spent the next day being total zombies (way too old for that sort of thing!).
Anyhoodle, can't wait to hear more about the lovely Lynne! And I am very happy for you.

Nothing new really just more of the same old stuff keeping me seemingly permanenetly busy and frazzeled.
Oh and some tiring/cosy weekends with Lynne.
Things are going quite well there though its early days just yet.
Ive been away with rugby for junior and senior tours one in Wales, great memories of climbing mountains and in France with the senior team, not many memories at all
Lots of preparation to get done and more work starting to trickle through. Im still waiting on a big job Ive applied for being offered to me so fingers crossed on that one.
Ive got a weekend away planned with some old friends in July and Lynnes sounds interested in visiting Spain with me but more of that when I know what else is going on or not going on as the case may be.
oh and the email does work I just dont lok at it much

Shit, I typo'd on writing flick in that last post and wrote frïck instead (without the accent over the i). AND HAD MY *NASTY WORD* BANNED. Have to wonder, when did frïck become a BAD NASTY word that small children should never come across ever ever ever? I always thought it was a mild form of flick.
Just makes me feel more certain that dark times are ahead here and it's time to move on . . .

Things are busy but good for the most part.
Ive got lots of promising things to work on but if it comes off I'll be very happy.
Im looking into setting up a playscheme/ rugby camp for the summer, just day places for the school holidays but it might expand into a full time nursery.
Ive got more work coaching with a big local sports network.
Ive got a new part time job promoting rugby and coaching children, aswell as promoting and coaching to under-subscribing groups, which are women, ethnic minorities and immigrants/assylum seekers. This is good for two reasons one because its work I think Im going to love and two because i can soon give up the make-ends-meet jobs
Things are going well with Lynne still things are good at the moment in most areas of my life.
Im very very well, thanks for asking
So is the business begging to take off or do you need to work onm the promotion more.
I hope that you are as busy as you'd like to be, but not to busy because if the hard work pays off here I'll be needing to go away somewhere sunny with freindly locals for a short break

Oh, you'll be just so proud of me, little bro!
This morning I spent a rather gruelling half hour at the top of our very rickety ladder smashing three ceiling lightbulbs with a hammer and then digging out the heat-welded-in socket thingy with needle nose pliers.
This all came about because one bulb had blown in the kitchen and when Nog and I went to buy replacement bulbs yesterday we decided to try those twirly-tube energy-saving ones - the guy in the shop said this would also eliminate the problem of the bulbs getting stuck as the twirly ones don't ever over-heat.
Anyhow, the one dead bulb in the kitchen came out okay, but the other one that was still working was stuck of course so had to also smash it out in order to have two twirly bulbs in the kitchen. We are now going to replace the bathroom ones with twirly bulbs, but will keep the rest as they are because, except for those in the kitchen and bathroom - as well as the 'normal' ones next to my computer - we don't actually use the ceiling lights very often.
But also one bathroom light bulb and one next to my computer had to be smashed out so we can replace them tomorrow. It made me *really* appreciate the time you did that for us!
So are things continuing to go well for you? Work stuff still going okay? Still happy with Lynne?
<>
Well, to be honest, we're both feeling quite stupid that we didn't do more planning in terms of promotion before setting up the website. Our only 'excuse' is that working on the website with Chris and getting the first production done took up so much of our time, but looking back with 20/20 hindsight it's very clear that we were putting the cart before the horse. Anyhoodle, now we are scrambling to get promotional stuff done. Nog started a thread on this on his new blog - you might want to check it out and comment there if you have any ideas for us.
http://noggin.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/web-traffic/
Meanwhile, I'm being as optimistic as possible and thinking ahead to the next collection, which I think will be a silk one. Here is my blog link to that subject if you'd like to comment there.

Other news . . .
Well, the most exciting thing is that Nog might have a chance at a fab job in a bookshop here - should find out about that next week. In preparation for his job interview he's been *only speaking in Spanish* at home for the past three days, and this will continue until the interview. I'm speaking to him in 50/50 Spanish/English, but he is only 'allowed' to speak in Spanish - it's actually been quite fun for both of us. And I'm very impressed at how well he's been doing. So fingers-crossed about the job - it would be sooooo perfect for him.
Also we are both looking forward to a visit from zoomer at the end of the month. He'll be here for about a week before he goes off to the summer meet in London. He's taken one of the rooms next door so he'll be our next door neighbour for awhile, which should be quite fun. No way he could have stayed with us, even if we'd had the extra room free, as he's allergic to cats! Anyhow, should be a very nice time.
So that's the news update on this end. Looking forward to hearing about you. Been missing you lots, honey! Nog also passes on greetings and best wishes.
kissitos,

So what's happening with the book shop job?
Good luck, if Pete needs a reference I can ring the shop and say I'd buy a book of him if I were in a book shop. infact I think pete's kind of beard ought to be d'reigur for booksellers even lady booksellers.
Ive had a look at you blog. I especially like the way you made your self the bigG. Some would say that's cheeky but Ive seen the way you run your home and I know it's not stretching the truth by much.
Have I also spotted some cheeky product placement, are you wearing your own designs? what Id realy like to know is what has pete been eating he's loking very buff lately.

Indeed, I *am* The Creator. Actually, that was supposed to be yet another az cabal pic, with me and the REAL creator (six 7s) kind of creating each other, but it never got finished. And so Mudhooks very kindly attached Nog's head to 'the creation' so I could use it for my blog header - she may still include a couple of 'cat angels' to have cuddled up in the crook of my arm.
And yes, well spotted! I am indeed wearing my own designs.
<>
I wish you could see the place now. It's looking extra 'specially nice with the addition of plants on all the balconies, twirly-tube light bulbs and various other thises and thats - no major changes, just nice little *tweaks* that somehow make it feel even more like home.
No word on the bookshop job. Reckon it went to someone else. Shame.
And what's new with you???

Yesterday I found the post you sent to my blog last week - somehow it ended up in my spam file. Anyhow, just fixed that yesterday.
Today we took zoomer to CAAC - well, I mean, you just have to.
Tomorrow - who the hell knows? For further updates on my various travel fiascos visit the Mini Meet thread here . . .
Hope you're well
