Hi there
Noggin the Nog Posted May 17, 2003
I'd love to see your house.
S'pose this means I'm going to have to work out how to deal with E-mails, then, doesn't it?

Noggin,
Your email address didn't work! Had the photo sent back to me as 'undeliverable'.
Alji,
Just sent yours - bit of delay as dinosaur of a computer crashed and had to re-boot and and and!!!

azahar Posted May 17, 2003
but Alji!
you didn't say whether or not you liked my house!
the aerial photos of Bristol made me dizzy and I couldn't find my old house there - I'm really crap with any sort of map (but I have many other fine qualities! )
now I think it's time for bed.
buenas noches, azzzzzzz

B**st**ds!
Try [email protected]
If that doesn't work I'll have to ask someone who knows what they're doing.

Sorry az, it's beautiful. Did you overlay the street map to see where Park St. is on the photo?
Nogg, get an e-mail address from Yahoo.co.uk if yours won't work.

Hi there

hi Alji,
Cool! Overlaid the map (duh) and got me bearings. The old place was right on the corner where Park St turns into Queens Rd. That's really neat.
Really hoping that two things happen tomorrow - that my new computer comes in and that my bank loan goes through. This old beast, although she has served me well for three years and only cost me 60 euros, has just about had it. Of course then I'm going to start pestering people to help me figure out how to drive my new Jaguar! First thing to know is how to transfer files (don't have a burner). But at least it will be much much faster and - I hope - won't be crashing every five minutes. Can't wait!
Hi Noggin,
Re-sent the photo of my house. Hope you get it this time.

Noggin!
My email was returned again as 'undeliverable'. Perhaps best to take Alji's advice and just get a Yahoo email account. Anyhow, let me know when you get that sorted out.

it's sooooooooo hot here today - about 38ยบ. I'm melting!
Hi there
azahar Posted May 18, 2003
wait a minute - the last address you sent me was:
[email protected]
So now what are you saying? That the first one was correct except for missing out the fullstop?
getting dizzy . . .

Yay! Got it this time. Can't find a red circle though.
Where is it in relation to the street leading away from the plaza in front of the big building - cathedral? palace? Rockefeller's holiday cottage?

Hi there
azahar Posted May 20, 2003
Noggin!
Get with it, ya old fogey!
Lower left hand corner, clearly circled in red. That's my house. My flat is on the top floor on the corner, three balconies in each direction.
The huge building is the cathedral, the tower on the right is called the Giralda tower. Both the cathedral and tower have at various times over the past 900 years been either Christian or Muslim and hence the rather wonky architecture.
To the left is the Royal Palace - the Alcazar - where in fact the Spanish Royal family still have an apartment for whenever they come to town. Lovely gardens.
Anyhow, this is where I live. Nice?

Noggin the Nog Posted May 20, 2003
It's not fair! The most prominent buildings in a similar size photo of where I live would be the chemical works and the disused colliery.
Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with getting that loan. Hope it works itself out ok.

Hi there
azahar Posted May 20, 2003
Noggin,
Did you find my house???
Also, the loan thing (you stalker! ) is so ludicrous - imagine being denied a bank loan because I am friends with the loan manager's sworn enemy. So totally unprofessional.
I'll get him back one day. At least I'll tell him off totally once I get another loan sorted out - wish me luck!!!
I won't get through the summer otherwise.
very nervously yours,
az

Hi there
Noggin the Nog Posted May 24, 2003
In a word - tired.
I MEANT to get an early night tonight, but somehow I haven't got around to it. (Story of my life summed up in half a sentence ).
Glad you got your loan Does that mean you're on for the new computer then?
Noggin
Hi there
azahar Posted May 24, 2003
Which half of the sentence were you referring to?
Yes, if all goes well on Monday (have to sign the final papers with my guarantor) then I should be picking up the new Jag on Tuesday.
Can this really be happening?
az
