If I just decided to be a full on member of the awkward squad?

Think about it, people give your opinions and rants more credit than they're worth, just because you're vocal. Governments quake in fear at the site of yet another complaint about something so trivial as to be ludicrous. And you get what you want.

And for all that, all I'd need to do is sacrifice my reputation and become a deeply unpleasant person.

Crayons, surely?

Once, when I was a student, we sent Christmas cards from all the house occupants to the people that we all knew. We all signed the cards to the sensible, mature people. But the cards to those about our own age we handled a little differently.

Those ones every else except me signed, and then one house-mate's girlfriend signed my name, in her off-hand, in green crayon.

And I let them do this. I was sitting in the same room at the time. Laughing.
