As this is my very first introduction to you, strange web-user, I feel a strange shyness creeping over me -- that painful, first-date sort of thing. Will they like me? Will I like them? Do I smell funny? Do I care?
Whatever. If the contents of this site bore you, move along quickly because you bore me too. If you like them, probably you should do the same, because we will have much too much in common to talk about, and be reduced to that awkward smile-and-nod ritual that occurs in the lulls of many conversations. If I make you angry, please, stay around! I'm a glutton for punishment, and I generally get along famously when I have a person to tease, torment, and generally vent at. (Yes, I am a woman.) Also, variety is so much more interesting than homogeneity. (Is that a word? I guess it is now... You use it, and I will, and then we can say that we've both heard it used before, which always adds authenticity to rank bologna!)
Umm, oh yeah...information about me. I am a public school teacher. I dare you to ask me my opinion on proficiency tests. I don't do much of anything else, as my free time at home is taken up with school work, and my school time is largely occupied by futzing around on the computer. I freely admit that, as I grew up disadvantaged, my computer skills are not very finely honed. (A.K.A. Don't go looking for a website -- I don't THINK I have any.)
