don't know if you've seen it but if I was a bookshop owner I'd model myself on Bernard Black from Black Books
hes an alcoholic chainsmoking booklover who hates almost everybody, so it wouldn't require much change to turn myself into a duplicate, just a bookshop really

I'll be Bernard and you can be Manny (which is what Bernard's helpful, friendly and much mistreated
assistant was called)

I won't then but I hope that I can shout at the customers and be rude to them and not open until 10:00 and close at 15:00 like Bernard does
as well as having a long lunch hour
Revelation
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Oct 13, 2004
oh definately you can
sounds good to me.
but only if we can have afternoon tea....
theres this lovely lady here that works at one of the 2nd hand book stores, and she makes tea and gives out cookies to the staff every afternoon.
it seems like such a nice idea

*jumps up and down*
Can I be Fran?
*pulls and bottle of wine from
and offers it around*

Hi Arisztid, nice to meet you
BC, I wouldn't have picked you as the Bernard type at all. Is this some kind of alter ego or do I have a total misapprehension of your personality?
*waves to tanz and Ivan and whoever else I have missed*

Oh good. I would love to work in a secondhand bookshop and not sell anything too
Although I can't remember what exactly Fran really does for a job? (apart from handing out wine).
*quafs some and pulls out another bottle or two for when the others arrive*
