The value of fish
I, Researcher 215197, Tom Corke, of the late Planet Earth, am endeavouring to find the value of fish. This should not be, as it commonly is, mistaken with the meaning, worth, or point of fish, but the value.
Those who program will know what i mean when i talk about random seeds. These (for everyone else) are numbers you give to a computer for it to form the basis of all of its randomly generated numbers from. ie. if your random seed is always the same all of the random numbers generated will be the same each time. Anyway. fish.
This is not a fish
If i (or indeed my friend adam) am asked to think of a random word, i think of my brain choosing the word to be said from an array of words. This means that each word must be assigned a number. "Fish" must be assigned a commonly reccuring number as it is pretty much always the word i think of fist above all else. It is then followed by trees and then boats. The bananas. All evidence seems to point to the fact that the randomly seeding part of my brain does not function correctly. This would explain why the random words i come up with are always the same.
Back to the point. If "Fish" is assigned a nuymber and the random part of my brain always chooses fish then it must be choosing that number repeatedly. I am trying hard to find this number. I have ruled out several possibilities that are not assosciated in any noticable way with fish. These are 8, 27 and 42. It is also probably irrtional. I have determined by these facts that the value for fish may well lie somewhere in the region of 1500. Somewhere.
