If you mean another posting on this site which you made, if you find the posting, there should be a little button on the right-hand side of the posting (the 'yikes' button), which is a surprised looking graphite-coloured smiley. If you click that and enter details of your 'complaint' (that you entered the posting, and you want your address taken down, since it's now been copied down by all concerned), you should be able to have it taken down.
Or did you mean something else?

Well, oak trees are infinitely more friendly-redwoods just go up & up & up-maybe w/a bungee or something to add to your arm`s reach~(around the trunk)~ Neugan

Unsubscribing just means that the thread doesn't show up on your userspace.. it's still out there, you're just not notified of it any more..

OK, Neugen, let's give njan a *real* challenge--let's find the oldest redwood on your property (How old are your trees? Old-growth, second-growth, less than a century?)

I'll just stay on the ground thankyouverymuch. I don't like to get where I might get acrophobic.

If it's a tree, and it has branches (and if it's safe), I can climb it. Assuming I'm fit and I have rope and a harness.

I'll stick to the ground with the first aid kit and some beer. I will need it if nothing else by watching someone else climb a bloody tree.

Oh, if you've equipment, you can climb a redwood. And I'll be staying on the ground! No like heights unless there's a floor under me... Besides, it'll be easier to take lots of photos of you trying/climbing if I'm on the ground

I once climbed a poplar tree which a climbing instructor told me was "impossible to climb". The tree was once the tallest tree in the county (officially), and had the top cut off because it was getting dangerously tall and shaking a lot in the wind (insurance issues were the predominant factor). By the time that I and my climbing partner got to the top, we were around forty metres above the ground; well over the height of any building in the area (suburban with large gardens). And what was at the top? a flat, cut-off trunk that was a metre in diameter which I proceeded to stand on to admire the view; I don't deign to wonder how tall it ONCE was.
Those pesky redwoods'll be no problem.
Although having said that, it has been at least two years since I did any serious climbing, so I probably won't go up anything that requires kit. Oak trees are fine, though.
Besides, I'm lazy.

Well,Gary`s home now & is rummaging about for pictures he`s taken of the redwoods(the only problem is that neither of us knows how to attach a picture to an E-mail)But-we`ll try-I mean an E-mail overseas of course w/a picture.Holy volgans,it`s difficult until you 'know' how to 'computer'~ -Does anyone know how to attach a picture of a redwood grove to an e-mail -oops, a picture from a floppy disc onto a posting???That`s Gary`s official explanation of the problem!
