Things you might want to know about Pyriform
Pyriform is male, slightly overweight (though not nearly as much as his nickname would suggest), a physics graduate and sometime computer programmer. He can appear at times to be ridiculously well read, which is strange as he seldom reads any proper books these days. He did however read a lot in his youth. And now, of course, he has the Internet, which is a kind of library of Babel*. Indeed, Pyriform will read anything that is put in front of him, even if it is only a cereal packet; Pyriform's idea of Hell is a room with absolutely nothing to read in it*. Or perhaps a huge library populated entirely by copies of the Daily Mail*.
Pyriform alternates between periods of extreme torpor and periods of foolish activity; he is a home cinema enthusiast who enjoys luxuriating in surround sound, but sometimes propels himself down freezing cold rapids in a small kayak. He likes skiing and walking up hills. Once, he used to fly small planes.
Pyriform has absolutely no idea why he has started talking about himself in the third person. This has never happened before.
