And unofficial Hello!
Saturnine Started conversation Dec 7, 2002
This isn't an official hello or anything. In fact, I am more than likely making a nuisance of myself...
But just to welcome you to h2g2 from an unofficial perspective, as an ACE hasn't got to you yet. They are nice people who give you lots of links and things to ease you into the h2g2 community...
Hope you are finding it OK and not too difficult. Plenty of people around here will help you though, so don't worry!

Thank you. It all seems fairly straightforward, except that I can't decide which skin to use...
I'm off for a .
See you around!

You wouldn't be trying to trick me into using Classic Goo for some reason, would you? And what is "plain"? I'm using Brunel at the moment. And why do they have these names?
Sometimes I hate choice - like when there are too many spaces in a car park.
And unofficial Hello!
Saturnine Posted Dec 7, 2002
Oh my god! Get off Brunel NOWWWW!!! It's the worst skin out of the lot. Switch onto Alabaster because you are a newbie and that is the most straightforward Plain is a text only skin that allows the very small community of digibox users (ie : me) to access long conversations. Classic Goo however, was the original skin for the site before it was handed over to the BBC...
But get off Brunel. No one I know uses that...it is so UGLY!

I've decided to change into Classic Goo for a bit. Does my bum look big in it?
And unofficial Hello!
Saturnine Posted Dec 7, 2002
Nope. You look positively gorgeous dahling...
Have you been visited by an ACE yet?
And unofficial Hello!
Pyriform Posted Dec 7, 2002
No I haven't. Perhaps if I slip into something a bit more...alabaster...
