I am a Civil Servant working for Revenue and Customs 
(that's Customs and Excise + Inland Revenue before the merger). I live and work in Bristol, England (UK not USA) and I am married to Peter who is a Hackney Carriage Owner (Taxi Driver to eveyone else).
I only recently joined this site, but I hope that it will be a lasting relationship. I like reading, a lot, and try new authors when I can (there's a current book that I want to get called 'Laberynth' by Kate Mosse!! It's on sale at my local Costco store2).
In my listing of authors I've read:- Douglas Adams (of course!), Stephen King, James Herbert, Mark Morris, Clive Barker - you can't tell I like horror novels can you 
, JK Rowling, JRR Tolkein - My book collection is only outweighed by my frog collection, actually I think my glass collection holds the number one slot at present. I'm currently reading the Lensmand Series by E.E. 'Doc' Smith
I collect promotional glasses - Guiness, Budweiser, Grolsh, Famous Grouse(whiskey) etc. I collect them in pint size, half pint size and other variations, but I'm not obsessed about drink - honest!! 
(although I have, like most people I suspect, had the odd tipple too many now and again)
