hi. i'm a cute little birdie. nice to meet you too! you sound very nice. errr ... what do i say now? i hate meeting people! i like talking to them, very muchso, but meeting and the hi, howr'e you, blah blah blah is so weird.

so, what's new in life? i had fish and chips this weekend, hadn't had them for years and years, and only now cos it's Ivar's. mmmm they were good.

i'm not gonna be online much for a while, i'm going to germany for six weeks.

aack! i repeated "cute little birdie" oops, sorry, i'm just me, not very birdlike actually, just got tired of being chocoholic.

i've had three years of german in school, hopefully it's enough. I understand quite a lot of it, but i'm awful at writing. i'm going for an exchange, i'm staying in frankfurt with a family for two weeks, then traveling around with my group, we're spending a few days each in berlin, münchen, and bacharach (it's got a castle!), then i'm visiting a girl who stayed with us for a year, she lives in a tiny little village in the black forest. the thing is, they speak a different dialect way down south, "high" german is everyone's first forign language, so talking will be a tad difficult. the differnece is even bigger than, say, someone from a big west-coast city and a hillbilly from the deep south.

i'm very excited, would you ever guess? ^_~ today is the last time i can count on being online til middle of august.

yes, i also speak a small amount of german. (4 yrs @ school)

yup, pretty much makes sense, although it looks like you've got a swäbisch accent. schule ist böse, oder? ich hasse sie, aber ich denke, dass universität wird viel besser sein. amerikanische high school ist sehr doof, wir lernen nicht viel und die leute sind ... doof. habt ihr dann sommerferien in unser winter?

Ja. schule ist schlecht hier. die leute sind meistens OK,aber meine deutsch lehrerin ist sehr sehr U"bel. (the speech marks are an attempted umlaut. i could get the symbol from word, but it's easier this way...) Ja wir haben sommerferien im dezember und januar. es is werklich heiss und wir machen uberhaupt nichts. ich bin einverstanden dass universität wird viel besser sein.
