Yeah, been a busy boy here since i got back. TONS of washing to do of course. (Mrs. A is looking decidedly peaky since she saw the ironing mountain)
Loads of mail to catch up with, and some new friends made on tour too, so got to write them some stuff.
Grass has grown like wildfire, so had to cut that.
Chilli vodka is ready for drinking, so i've been experimenting with that.
Actually, i think i need a break. Any room for me on the Embra trip?

No. You just came back from a 'posh' trip. You should be doing the ironing! Poor Mrs A. I do feel sorry for her!

I can't iron Tis my only failing
Actually, i was expecting some sort of mishap on tour, but it never happened. I think because most of the other characters were....um, eccentric lets say, i was made to look pretty sensible
One of the Admirals got on the wrong tube train, and waved at us as he disappeared into the distance. Took us hours to track him down. To a bar of course, where he was reading the Times and sipping Grappa and not a care in the world.
I said "Do you know how to get back from here?"
"Oh my dear chap, it's only a small city, i knew one of you bods would amble along eventually"

yoo hoo
I thought havering was sort of falling about when you were drunk (in the proclaimers song) but then if it was me I would be talking nonsense and then I'd fall asleep.
Hope you had good holidays, I'll get to Rome one day!

Thanks Chorlton
You really do have to get to Rome, it's sooper dooper. No rush though, it's been there for thousands of years, i can't see it going anywhere soon.
Off the top of my head (and having seen the Proclaimers live 3 times ) i think the line about 'havering' comes from 500 miles.
'If i haver, i will be the man that's havering to you'

We stayed in a really smart hotel not far from the central station and bus depot, and managed to see most stuff. Didn't see the pope though, he'd heard we were coming and decided to go on his hols.
