hAd To go back to hospitalMonday for another two days & nigts, had broncoscopy done, no clear results & looks like the end for me & P, he realy can't handle all this blood stuff/sickness, which is very sad & makes efeelso alone.

From looking on internet vsems possible it may be some form of Cystic Fibrosisis, i which case i've done better than most,but have to stay away from all humans. The sputum tests don't arrive for ages (weeks) & had another couple of highlyscary blood stuff agai today, luckily caugt it in cat tray!

Another letter today saying "no way can you stay here, we may repaatriate you, but to where?"

I'mdetermined not to return to the hospital, if i get MRSA on top of this, i really am done for, they won't even let me walk down the corridor, let alone use internet or shop. I'S basically a closed prison of old ladies in pain; horrible.

i do hope Pheloxi had a more peaceful end & that Abbi is at home with family.

Don't know what to say really, just feel very alone, scard to try & sleep& very very cold. basically i feel they've given up on me. ery sad that P & i could have had a good life if it wasn't for this, he doesn't derserve it, but he will cope OK.

I'm so sad to hear you are ill again. I know you hate the hospitals, but perhaps they can do something for you after all. Let them try.

Cystic fibrosis is not contagious, it's a genetic disease, as far as I know. If it's tuberculosis, on the other hand, there should be antibiotics available these days, even if it is a resistant kind.

There is hope, dear, but I understand it feels terrible. It sounds absolutely horrid.

I hold you and P in my thoughts, and wish you find a way.

Milla is correct about both CF and TB. Rather than trying to sel-diagnose using the internet, where most jnformation is wildly inaccurate anyway, I do agree that you shluld let the doctors at the hospital try to help you.

You're in my thoughts, too. Keep hanging on. As for repatriation, does Ireland allow resident alien status like the US does? Meaning you're not a citizen but you're allowed to stay. I'll try to do some research for you once things get settled over here with the burial and all.

Terri, please do as your friends suggest and give the hospital a chance. P too. If you can get a diagnosis, so you know what treatment or help is needed, he might not feel so helpless.

Don't give up P or the hospital yet. While you are in there it must give P some respite from the worry (speaking as a carer).

I am back! Was a Good Girl & stayed 6 days while they poked, prodded, Xrayed (again)ultrasound, stuck tubes in every orifice, stabbed me daily many times & finally came to the" conclusion that i had some weird unknown formof pneumonia plus two enormous cavities in my nose (merci mama & various others for using my nose as apunchbag!)

Despite all the tests & abuse i have had/selfinflicted, apparently all seems OK apart from the hOLY nOSE,which has two large holes where it shouldn't have, which is what GP reckoned in the 1st place! The type of pneumonia remains a mystery still.

But at lmeast i got put into a room of my own in isolation, which saved me being done for GBH on the old dear who screamedblue murder all night. Plus i've lost loads of weight, despite doing bugger all, plus been declared sane (again!)

Yes, P had some respite from nasty moaning, far too talkative me & the nuns were lovely, gave me some money for warm clothes & food. Tomorrow igo yet again to see Social W**ker & Appeal once more ; we shall see what happens.

PS: yet again, i have been Officially Declared Not Clinically Depresssed, which must mean i am Officially Insane ireckon?

It is so good to hear from you Terri, and to know that you are on the mend. Are they going to do anything about the holey nose I hope things are mended with Peter. It would be such a shame if it all went wrong, you seem made for each other.
