Fret not, we've got over it: have a "no sulk" policy going here, thank goodness!
As predicted, last minute panicky young people begging for a place to stay during the BD, at the last count i have 3 or maybe 4 girls in the bedroom/atelier (French & English) & in the grenier 6 guys; French, German, Belgian. I doubt very much i wll be online much from tomorrow onwards, though i may allow them to use this dying beast, so if someone says Hi on this thread, they are probably one of my guests/victims.
I'm wondering if it might be easier to just put up some strong hooks in the attic ceiling & hang them vertically, like frozen sardines?

That's not a bad idea Milla....only problem is there's no "Outdoor shop" here, i could probabbly weave some out of old string netting bags that onions come in....nah, far too much trouble, they are young & fit, they can sort it out themselves. There's a double "clic clac" sofabed thing & a furry rug on the floor & several old floor cushions: it will be survival of the fittest; very character building.
Dubman did raise one question though "Erm what about the holes in the attic floor? What if they collapse the entire top floor?"
Well, if so, they will just have to rebuild it won't they?! (Could be a shock for the girls sleeping below, but the debris won't reach as far as me & Yoda in our nice warm bed on the ground floor!)

Ooh yes! Big scary Aussie ones that (apparently) lurk in the toilet & climb up & bite your bits, just when you've solved 6 Down:"One introducing relation, a clerk" (6letters)
