Well, it's not been the best week of our lives, hopefully getting back on track now.

First, the bloody broadband thing as predicted, wasn't just a question of plugging in & away we go, our beast is so old we needed all sorts of weirdo bits as well (£ $ !); at one point we thought we needed a new "mother ship" which apparently is virtually a new Beast, totally out of the question.

On top of all this, I got some sort of evil flu-type virus, which left me feverish, aching all over (even more than usual!) & totally wiped-out mentally & physically.
Just started recovering slightly, when goes down with it too! He's even been to the doctor today, something he only ever does to accompany me & is feeling very sorry for himself, poor thing.

Anyway, managed to find the last "port" thing in town at a discount price & our good mate Lorenzo has plugged it all in (payment: 2 jars of my mango chutney!!) so let's hope things get back to normal soon.

*in best Indian accent* oh yes, very true, indeed! got this theory, I must've been a Hindu, or Punjab, or somethhing, in a past life...who knows?

I know the feeling! Funnily enough, I'm researching into my family history at the moment & one thing I discovered is my grandma was out in India, & my mum was called Olive (& had very dark colouring) Dorinda (NOT your average English name, but does sound a bit Indian to me) so I wonder if maybe....
