Have you been green lighted for the conference you were interested in?

Yep, I have! And have got the childrens care in order too - mum will take off from work, and stay with them.

Now to see about London... I fear the budget suffers when one is not married to a doctor

How are things with your US visa and so on? Have you heard anything, or just guessing?

I haven't heard back from the police in response to the Subject Access form I submitted which means I have no Subject Access Statement. Without one of those there's no point in making an appointment for an interview and given there is a six week wait I have to concede that I can't go in October as I had feared.
But, once I do have the statement and I have some tentative dates from Stephanie for early next year I can go ahead and try for a Visa with the new dates in mind.
It just that February, the most likely month, seems so very far away and hard to put any hopes on. And Stephanie life may have changed in a number of ways by then, that having me turn up could be inconvenient or awkward.

And I'm glad you going to the conference, you seemed quite excited by the idea.

I intend to finally get around to posting off the novels on Wednesday. Sorry about the delay.

The meet does look glum indeed... Moneywise, but not so much if I go alone. But then the children will be without me for a week, and won't like that. (My mum is great, but she's not their mum...)
